The anchors strip when driving the them in.Then the actual screws easily strip as well.I had the drill on just enough torque drive the anchor flush with the drywall.

Honestly, this was not easy. I’ve used metal anchors in the pass and decided to try these self-drilling plastic ones. Worst decision. They are not easy, and end up breaking (like the image seen above), I hate to waste four anchors to be able to get them flush to the wall. It only reason I kept trying to make it work was because I didn’t want a gaping hole on my wall, now that I managed (somehow) to get it looking how it should’ve been, I am definitely not using these again. Do yourself a favor and don’t waste your money and wall in getting these. If you do I may suggest pre drilling a hole first might be easier (I didn’t have that). Only reason I gave two stars was because after the horrid beginning and middle, at least the end result (after wasting so many anchors) It’s at least holding up what I wanted on the wall.

2 steps. Put the tip in the wall and the put the nail in the tip,Wala. This will. or should hold heavy objects.

I tried to hang a couple of shelves and used the anchors that came with it. They did not hold the shelf up before I put anything on it. So I bought these and I have not had any problems with those shelves.I recommend these.

These work great and are easier to use than the blue type where you drill a hole and then push in the blue plastic sleeve and insert a screw for it to swell and grab the drywall. These self screw in and hold much better than the blue type. I use these like candy when I hang things on a wall.

They just work, screw them in, then screw in the screw. Also make sure to use a stud finder so you don't accidentally drill into a stud like I did a couple of times.Nothing else to say really, They do their job pretty well.

Once you've used these types of wall anchors it will be hard to go back to anything else for hanging stuff on the wall. And why not? They are really easy to install with just a screwdriver (requiring no drilling), and they really have a lot of holding power. It's much less messy than first drilling a hole of the specified size, then tapping in the anchor. The challenge with traditional anchors is if you drill the hole too small the anchor won't want to go in, and if you drill it too big, it won't hold as well, or will turn inside the hole when attaching the screw. I think a lot of us know exactly what I mean. This isn't a problem with these screw-in anchors. They make their own perfectly-sized hole, and they can't turn inside the hole because once you drive them in all the way they have no where else to go: they stay in place as you drive in the screws. The way I install them, is I first use the tip of the screwdriver, or an awl, to just penetrate the outer paper of the sheetrock where the anchor is to go. This gives a nice little starting point for the anchor to bite in when you turn it with the screwdriver. Just apply steady and firm pressure while turning until you get to the point that the anchor threads start to bite into the wall, and from that point just screw in normally until the head of the anchor is against the wall. The kit comes with 25 each of the #6 and #8 sizes with matching screws, so you can use the size you need for the weight of what you are hanging. I wouldn't use these for a very heavy load, like a wall mount for a large-screen TV for example, nor are they really suitable for hanging things from the ceiling (because their strength is mostly for loads that hang parallel to the mounting plane, not perpendicular). But for hanging decorative items on the wall, or for installing towel bars and rings, toilet paper holders, etc. they can't be beat for ease of installation and holding power!
