I was a little disappointed in how thin this was, but I don't know how thick this should be for my safety. I want to use them while I melt my left over metal in a crucible just in case the metal pops and splashes on me. I will update when I actually use or get saved by them. They are held on with stretchy material. I wish it was a easy to remove strap like velcro or something that unsnaps or you can adjust.

I was learning stick welding and if you know stick you know how much it spits and spatters I had a large bead fall into my pants and down my boot melting my sock to my foot ... its still healing but with these I haven't had to worry about the spatter at all their a little weird to walk in and I wish the velcro part was a bit wider for my calfs but they manage to fit fine and the price was affordable too there pretty easy to figure out and they can be reversible too so they preform pretty well
