It is plastic so it won’t scratch your new pool cue. I keep 1 at home on a short cue and keep 1 in my cue case for using when I’m out shooting pool because some places only have the metal ones they can scratch your cue, or they don’t have one at all.

What's great is when you are frozen to the object ball you can actually hit it. I always have had problems using the bridge. Works a lot better with the extra width. Now go break balls
