I had a mailbox that was twice hit by the snowplow. It's aluminum, mildly textured, and white. I was looking for some reflective tape that would not stick out until nightfall, and this product seems to do the trick. I first cleaned the surface with isopropyl alcohol, waited for it to dry, then stuck one sticker on each side. I also had a tiny bit of rather expensive, but wider, tape that I used to wrap the arm under the mailbox.Two things I can say: First, it adhered to the mildly textured aluminum pretty well. Second, when hit with headlights, it reflects almost just as much as the rather expensive tape does.
