Would give it a 5, but if used a lot will need to replace about every 3 to 4yrs before the bearings start making noise. 2nd one since last purchased in 2021. Not the sellers fault. More falls on the manufacturer. Original fan lasted over 20yrs before it got to noisy/ loud.

The fan blows better than the original but ain't a plug in install. Had to splice two wires together.

Easy installation, same as the one that it replaced, quite and smooth. Very pleased with how it performs.

I validated the part number for the replacement blower before making the purchase. Even though the part number matches, upon receiving the blower and trying to install it, it did not fit. The metal "feet" or bracket that it sits on is slightly larger than the original blower that I was replacing. The stove has rails that this blowers feet have to fit in between in order to be installed. This blower did not fit. I had to do some metal working on the feet to resize them to get them to fit within the rails on the pellet stove. Also, the electrical connections, or more specifically the plastic shrouds on the electrical connections, were not large enough to fit over the plastic shrouds on the electrical connections coming from the stove. As a result I had to peel back the plastic shrouds in order to get the metal connections to make contact. This was a good price, but it was not a quick 15 minute install like I had hoped it would be.Finally, I think that the new blower does not blow as much air on the low setting as the original blower. I don't have the motivation to uninstall the new one and reinstall the old one just to test this out. It seems ok on the medium and high settings though.

Item came very quickly. Seller was helpful pre-purchase. Price was more than competitive. Note that this is for a pre-2008 model Castile Free-standing. The ones that you fill the pellets by lifting the black door at the top-rear of the stove not the best design for filling as you have to keep pushing the pellets forward with your hands, to fit a full bag. It may fit newer models, but you will have to check with seller. First, it is super quiet. About the same as when my stove was new. Yes, when keeping it on high speed, you too get some fairly loud fan noise, but no worse than the original. We use it in our main living room where we watch TV and keep it on medium all day, until we go to bed. Then on high overnight, if it's particularly cold (NewEngland). It took me about 20 minutes to replace. Granted, I take this out to clean it after every season, which is probably why I got 15 years out of the original. Do take care when removing/installing/cleaning. NO LIQUIDS! moisture will eventually cause parts to rust a little, which will lead to the screeching noise. The rust will happen over time, due to humidity in off season, but no sense in speeding that up. Also, be gentle with it. If you bend the shaft or bump the air drums the least bit out of center, it could put it out of balance and you will get more noise. There are 2 (out of 4) mounting screws that are impossible to reach. Fear not, if you look at the housing, there are a couple of phillips screws. Take them off and carefully bend down the flap so you can access the screws. Carefully bend back to align the holes for the two screws after installing the blower. Use care in tightening the 4 mounting nuts. Use the new nuts and rubberized washers. Do not over or under tighten and tighten them down with as equal torque as you can. I would say finger tight and maybe 3/4 turn. Basically, you want the rubber to just start bulging, a little, but don't crank it down. The 2 wires were plug and play and I did not need to change any connectors. Highly recommend this. A solid "5". Been using for a few months now, and still 100% happy.

The hardest part of this job was figuring out what I needed to order for our Quadrafire 3100-F blower. I guess we got 20 years out of the old one, but knowing whether a potential replacement fit our specific model was hard to pin down. This worked great, and seemed to be one of the less expensive alternatives I had to choose from. One thing I learned was I need to get in there and vacuum off the dust bunnies annually (or more). The old blower was clogged with dust in just about every imaginable place (and in some places beyond imagination). Stove hygiene is now a thing with me.

These motors are low quality. The first one had to be returned cause the end was smashed in and it would not turn without rubbing on cowling. The second made noise when at full operating speed when the fire place reached operating temperature. The third does the same, for some reason the aluminum expands and causes the motors to vibrate and make an irritating whining noise . They only do it when above 50 percent power and when the stove is hot. Drives me nuts for the price I paid and the noise they make. I have to lower the cfm from the knob on the wall dramatically to quiet them down which makes the fireplace much less efficient in putting out hot air into the room. VERY disappointed since I have to remove all the fire brick each time I replace one of these inferior motors. The seller needs to address this problem. I am going to ask seller for full refund on both motors I bought and or replace them for the 4th and 5th time. Update: took both motors out and the plastic squirrel cage fans both warped. These fans are junk and I'm glad I returned them. Installed two new ones from different vendor
