We've had issues with our freezer door not being shut or staying shut. I bought these before to secure the door. Got new freezer and stuff shifted and pushed open the door and a bunch of stuff thawed out. Installed the straps and door stays firmly closed. Quick and easy install.

I bought these as a form of baby proofing, not for an earthquake. I installed these on a stereo I have on a bookshelf so my son won't knock the stereo down on his head. I have the bookshelf anchored to the wall and these electronic quake straps on the stereo. I tried to get it to come loose by shaking the bookshelf and slamming it forward to the end of the anchors length to make sure my son wouldn't be hurt without trying real hard and it didn't come loose at all! The stereo and speakers moved a little bit back and forth but didn't come loose. On the note of baby proofing with these, your child can undo them so don't think it's toddler proof. Overall I would definitely recommend these to someone wanting to secure smaller electronics to keep them from falling. Please also note we have only had one earthquake in my area in my lifetime so I can't say how they hold up under those specific conditions.

I bought these straps primarily to anchor the back of a nonducted stove hood to the wall. I had tried another brand of straps that were too long and not adjustable enough and also stripped the paint off the wall. These fit perfect and were exactly what I needed. They are holding the back of this guy in place with ease. I also bought and extra pair to stick on a TV that sits freely on an entertainment center not backed by a wall. The base of the TV is pretty heavy but you just never know! These straps are perfect, small and not obtrusive, and strong enough to do the job.

Was not sure if these would work but they turned out to be the perfect thing for my new TV. So well made and easy to install! You don’t even notice them once the are installed. Will keep you large TV safe!

This is not the VCR/Stereo Strap, it's the Home Electronics Safety Straps, the black version of . The first product image is incorrect, and does not show the correct product box contents. The second and third picture are correct. I used them to secure a computer monitor to a small desk, in an effort to 'cat proof' it. So far they've worked fantastically, and the monitor feels solid and doesn't move at all. They're easy to use, secure firmly to both the equipment and the desk surface, and are economically priced. Earthquakes aren't the only danger fragile electronics face, so I definitely recommend these to anyone that needs to pet proof their expensive equipment.

Well, I must say this Quakehold line of products are very excellent! We who live in earthquake country know the sense of securing your breakables for when the quakes might come. I find the product very easy to use and very well made. You just cannot go wrong with such. I have even recommended them to a friend in Iceland who has been describing some seismic activity recently in his area. Go ahead, get the doubt out of your mind and use Quakehold to secure your products! Priced very conveniently too!!
