Unlike other reviewers, I knew I ordered MINI perler beads. The set is nice but the melting process requires some getting used to. The beads required more heat than the larger version to melt and I ended up melting a bit of the board. Try on smaller projects first to perfect technique

Be sure to pay attention before purchasing, the beads are super small as well as the pegs on the boards!! They are useable but you need to be precise and patient!!! This is a great set for my 13-year-old daughter however I will be purchasing a separate set with the larger beads for my two younger daughters. The color selection is great, I love that it comes with multiple tweezers and peg boards. I decided not to use the iron papers it came with because they looked like plastic. Overall I’m not completely disappointed but wish I would have paid attention to the bead size. I will say that with smaller beads you are able to see more detail after ironing.

I'm very new to perler/melty beads so I've been playing with the normal sizes and wanted to try with the smaller beads.Absolutely love the beads, love the color variety in this box. There was definitely a lot I can work with. Was happy to see the extra black and white because I flew through the black so quickly. When playing with beads this small you should definitely look into a good pair of crafting tweezers. These are small enough that you may want to rethink before purchasing for little ones because even as an adult it takes some patience.I want to state that if you're new to this type of craft, please use sources to learn what you're doing. You can easily destroy a craft if you don't know what you're doing. That said, in just this review I'll say, use the tape method when you iron your pieces. There's plenty of sources on the internet that explain the tape method and what kind of tape to use. Do NOT iron on the pegboards they are not made for the heat so they will warp or melt and use parchment paper between the beads and the iron. Again, videos and articles on the internet save a lot of money and frustration from mishaps.

These are so nice for making smaller creations and with more detail (which I like). Only downside is that since they are smaller, sometimes they don’t stick together as well but those areas need to be ironed a bit more (for bits that are slightly outside of the creation, I mean). Would buy these again! Love the amount of colors they give you for the price.

These beads work as intended. There are loads of colors to choose from for a great price. They melt a bit easier than the on brand beads so be careful when ironing.

I teach an after school program and kids of all ages love the larger beads. These little ones definitely require more patience and perseverance. Ages 10 and up I would suggest these for. Great set, everything you need except the iron is included.

Please don't waste your money like I did, these reviews are mixed so I tried it out. VERY DISAPPOINTED!!! They do not melt evenly, some melt faster than others so your hours of creating are ruined by the melting stage. I thought it was me my new iron but not in a fb group, multiple people have tried and complained a out it too. I've heard other off brands are better than this one, so go find better! Or splurge on the name brand.
