...but review the pictures with the Amazon item listing to get an idea of how all the pieces fit together and how to detach the cylindrical piece with two key rings on either end. I could not figure it out on my own and had to pull up the listing again to identify how to slide and detach. Also, the D-shaped ring is good for a car key that has a solid plastic piece that would normally make it difficult to put on a normal key ring. The keychain comes with a small screwdriver to attach the D-shaped ring and also includes two spare key rings that are slightly larger in diameter than the ones pre-attached to the release keychain. This will be handy for keys you don't always need to have with you, as they'll attach easily with the cylindrical piece in the off instances you'll need them.

I have been looking for a good quick release keychain for a while, and these are exactly what I needed! I have been through several other types, and these are much nicer than any of the others. I nearly lost my key the other day when the previous keychain I had came apart while going to check the mailbox and the key fell off onto the ground next to my house. I didn't notice the key had fallen off until I went to open the car the next morning and found no key...and spent the next hour searching the house before finally finding the key on the ground next to the the entry walkway to our house! Needless to say I was very late that day, and immediately started looking for a replacement keychain.The fit and feel of these keychains is excellent, the two halves are held together nicely without feeling wobbly but they spin freely. The finish is a slight matte texture with nice anodizing that feels nice and makes it easy to pull back the release sleeve. Inside the side with the sleeve there are two retaining balls to hold the pin in the socket when you put the two halves together. It feels very sturdy and I don't think I could pull it loose without bending the keyrings attached to either end.I am very happy with these keyrings, I think they will work very well for me for years to come!

I wanted this because I have multiple car keys on one ring and this makes it super easy to detach a key when I need it. Super convenient to be able to just pop off my push-to-start key fob. It's now so easy to hand a key to the mechanic or a relative borrowing it and not have to spend 2 minutes trying to wrestle it off a tight keyring just to have to reverse the process soon after.

I wish the belt loop clip was bigger I have force to close around my belt loop.

I got a cool OTF dagger for my birthday. Wanted to be able to quickly remove it from my keys for use. This is perfect! Nice heavy feeling metal. Only comes undone when you want it to. If you install it the right way, you can easily separate it in one clean move. Perfect for quick access to a knife for self protection.
