With little info around the interwebs, it took me a while to figure out that this was the sensor that I needed to fit my 2015 Mercury 115 4 stroke (other sensors that I found were a pipe thread and my block has an M10-1.5 thread. It works perfectly with VessleView Mobile.To install, remove the plug on the top of the engine that’s located between the flywheel and the thermostat housing. It takes a 4mm allen wrench, but be careful, as the plug is made of aluminum (mine stripped almost instantly, with very little effort, needed an easy-out to remove it). Then, simply install the sensor and connect to the 3-pin cable that’s already right there.I bought mine from a local Mercury dealer because I was under a time crunch.
