QwayHome New Upgrade Blue Pool Filter BallsThese pool filter balls came vacuum packed for convenience, and puffed right up after being removed from the package. I will be swapping out the sand in my filter with them just before opening the pool this year, as I have to replace the lateral as well. The material these are made from appears that it will do a great job of filtering out contaminants from the pool water. Unfortunately, I can not do further testing at this time, but should I have issues in the future with them I will update this review.

The QwayHome filter balls are a new and unique replacement for traditional sand in your pool filter system. 3.10-lbs of these balls replaces 110-lbs of sand. Your filter pump will not have to work as hard but unlike cartridges these filter balls are machine washable. They arrive vacuum sealed and expand when opened. I would recommend two sets. One in the filter system and one on the ready for when it is time to clean them. This way there is no disruption in swim time.

Filter balls are the way to go in my opinion. They are much lighter to deal with, can be washed and reused and do a great job. So far, I have not been able to find a negative. I got more than what is required for my filter, but why not buy bulk and save a little. Eventually the filter balls will need replaced and I might as well have a few on hand when they do. These appear to be quality made filter balls and I am anticipating that they will mast a long time with several washes in between. I also think these will put less stress on my filter pump as well. If you haven’t made the switch from sand, now is a good time and these are a great option.
