I have a crawlspace and being close to the water the water table gets high and with rain my space floods. I have a pump ready all the time but wanted to have the ability to roll out a hose extension to get the evacuation water away from the house. This metal connector was perfect. Solid. Fits nicely. Feels like quality. Just a long lead time. I waited about 6-8 weeks for it. But a great product. Had it on the hose for a few months in the dirt and rain and no rust no degradation. I expect it to last for years and way better than plastic.

Fit perfectly on my 1 ply hose. Would also work on plain plastic discharge hose used on trash pumps or pools cleanouts. I run about 30 psi and got no leaks. Good machining on threads. Good value especially for this quality.
