It's lightweight plastic, but does exactly what it says. My wife's working on a long hat for me, and it's MUCH quicker using a loom. Very good for the price.

This knitting loom kit is a great for kids or beginners. It kit comes with everything you need: yarn, tools, and even a storage case to keep everything organized. The instructions are super easy to follow, so she was able to dive right in without much help. The loom itself feels sturdy enough for a beginner kit, and the projects are simple but fun to create. That said, the yarn included is just okay, but that is to be expected with a learning kit. If you want a better-quality finish, I’d recommend buying some thicker, higher-quality yarn separately. The tools also feel a bit lightweight, but they do the job for learning.

I got this for my 9 year olds to learn how to knit and am extremely disappointed. First of all, the instructions are TERRIBLE! They didn’t make any sense at all so we had to rely on YouTube videos. For a kit that is meant for beginners this leaves a lot to be desired. Second, the pegs are NOT attached to the loom. That means that if your tension is too tight and you try to knit, the pegs will pull right out. That is very frustrating for a beginner as well. Third, the yarn is cheap and splits very easily so if you have a true beginner expect them to get frustrated. Fourth, it comes with a crochet hook instead of a loom tool, which makes it even more challenging to pick up the included yarn since the crochet hook is too big for the groove in the pegs. The only thing worthwhile in this kit is the included storage case, as it has a hole so you can leave the spool of yarn in the case while you knit.Do yourself a favor and get a different loom knitting kit if your little one is a true beginner and doesn’t want to get frustrated.

Bought for grand daughter. She's 5th grade. Keeping her busy, difficult to get started, adult may need to help. She's very happy with it. Has its own case, good instructions.

Ive been homebound for a few weeks and needed low energy projects to keep my mind busy. This is so much fun and I have gone from zero crochet skills to making hats and scarves like a mad person! I love it! I have tried a few different yarns, and have found that the heavier fancier yarns are a little more difficult, at least for me...so I'll stick with good quality average weight yarns. But this is a good, fun way to pass the time when you need a project. This would also be great for kids!

I received the QXHOL Knit Hat Scarf Knitting Loom Kit. So far I have only used this to make hats, but I look forward to making a scarf with it. This was super easy to use and a fun craft to cozy up in the winter and do. I loved the carrying case it came with for the yarn, it made it easier to carry around with me.

Let me start off by saying that this set isn't bad, but it's not great. The accessories (Loom, hook, needle, containeretc.) definitely feel like a cheaper plastic. The yarn is also very low quality which is pretty typical for a set like this. That being said, for kids or someone who wants to test it out, this set is fine. However, I would definitely recommend getting some better quality yarn. But the included yarn is fine to at least test out stitching and to help to start to build muscle memory.
