These are very thin, hardly any padding. I could only hold my hot cast iron skillet handle with one of these for a short time. I could still feel the heat through these handle pot holders. I had lost the only one I had that was handmade and was thick. I will be looking for another handmade one.

These do exactly what I want/need them to do! I mostly cook with cast iron and I have absent mindedly grabbed a hot handle on numerous occasions. These prevent me from having to peel dead skin or pop blisters off my wandering hand. They also look great on the pans as I usually keep one or two of them on the stove top for those impromptu, sudden meal preps. Well worth the price!

If you are using these for cast iron pans, don't purchase these, as they are too thin and will get too hot in your hand when lifting the pan.

Thinner than I expected. They work ok but not as well as the thicker ones I have.
