We've had it a month, as of this review. It works perfectly well, just as the OEM part did. I have no complaints, other than the lack of clear instructions basically everywhere for that single issue. That's the only complaint I had, but it cost this review a star.Our OEM fuel door spring flew off when someone maliciously overextended the gas door by slapping it as they walked past. (For the record, this was a random act, not something we'd drawn to ourselves, and neither of the people in the car at the time can even think of anything we might have done to draw that, let alone deserve it.) We didn't see where the original spring went, but it was really a pain to get the gas door open without it.Though I looked up several online instructional videos for this part, none of them really seemed to help me figure out what I was doing wrong with this at first.There's an angled slot that (from the side view) looks almost like a "hook". This part takes a good deal of pressure to get onto a support bar on the inside of the door. The bar looks like a part of the hinge, but it's not. It's actually a support for that part of the spring. When correctly seated, it "pops" onto the bar, where it will remain until removed by force or wear.The other part (a "tab," sort of) fits into a hole in the gas door, which is the right spot and makes sense if you really look at it while putting it into place. Like the support bar, it takes a bit of pressure to get in there correctly.Creating an instructional video would be fantastic.

This was a perfect fit for a 2010 Toyota Corolla.Previously the fuel door wound not pop open. Put this part in and it operated again.Haven’t had it long enough to comment on durability and longevity. Would buy again at this point.

It's pretty frustrating to pull in to a gas station and press the gas release on my Camry and see nothing happen. Gas cover doesn't open. It wiggled a little. But I can't press the button and pull on the cap at the same time. I was dependent on the help of strangers to pull a cap open while I press the button. One of those kind people told me to go to YouTube. I did. And not only did the video show how easy it was to replace this part, it linked to Amazon. I'm a 65-year-old woman. I switched out the broken part. No tools. Easy. And less than 10 bucks. If your gas cap isn't opening this is the answer.
