This is the perfect V1 mount in my Model Y. It didn’t fit around the mirror stem so I improvised a bit. This took maybe 30 mins to install. Blendmount is way to expensive and this works perfectly.

Metal hardware feels solid! Has held up well for the past 2 weeks in the arizona sun. I remove my radar detector from the mount every time I park to avoid theft and it hasn’t came loose or broken yet!

Perfect mount. It looks great, and no pesky suction cups. The seller was great to answer any questions I had and was a real friendly guy. He made sure my package arrived as soon as possible. I ordered on a Friday, and they came in on Monday. Excellent customer service.Now for the mount. It eliminates the pesky suction cups and also allows for ease of use with my V1. It adds a clean look, and it NEVER wobbles. Very solid build material, and it came with everything preassembled. And it had the torx tool included too!I absolutely cannot complain about this product at all. My radar looks great and doesn't move at all while driving, even off road. The seller went out of his way as well. Spend the extra bit of money and make your V1 experience better, and get this mount.

If like me you're tired of constantly reattaching your radar detector to the windshield (due to suction cups not holding), this product is for you!Have found my radar detector numerous times, either on the floor or dangling from the power cord still attached. Hanging by the power cord occurred so many times eventually caused a broken solder joint in the radar detector's power connector. Not to mentioning dropping electronics again and again of course not the best thing for longevity.Came across this product and ordered. Attached to my mirror in less than five minutes (my mirror very similar to the product picture) using the supplied allen wrench. The products two ball joints allowed me to neatly tuck my V1 right under my mirror. I can adjust the mirror and not affect the position of the V1. Can easily remove the V1 from this mount in under five seconds. No more suction cup marks on the windshield.For what problems this product solves would gladly have paid twice the price.A most definite highest recommendation.Pros * Keeps radar detector perfectly positioned and out of the way * Mirror can be adjusted without moving detector * No more suction cup marks on windshield * No more damage occurring from suction cup losing grip * Very easy to remove detector (when leaving car with valet or getting it washed etc) * Very good price considering the quality and problems it solves.Cons * Not finding this sooner!

Awesome product for mounting Valentine1 with rear view mirror in my vehicle - Subaru Forester.All metallic and sturdy construction.One would need the Hex screwdriver for mounting properly.Instructions I followed:1. Removed the suction cups from the suction mount provided with V1.2. Screwed the remaining parts of the suction mount together with this Gen2 mount.3. Paired Gen2 with rear view mirror's rod using a Hex driver.4. Tightened the big plastic screws with hand to achieve desired stability of the mount.Mount I considered along with Gen2:The above mount was all plasticky and comes with warnings to make sure the rear view mirror rod is cylindrical only. I think Gen2 mount will not have this type of restriction as it has a guillotine type of mechanism to hold on to the rear view mirror. This mechanism I assume will be good for any rear view mirror irrespective of vehicle type. Please note I am not expert in types of rear view mirrors. This was my first time even noticing there was a rod behind it in my vehicle.Moreover, I was not very convinced the BlendMount was sturdy enough for the long run to hold such an expensive piece of equipment- V1.Also, Gen2 is half the cost of BlendMount. That was a win-win for me.Please see comments for link to see more pictures - which might help a user in mounting the Gen2 properly. I hope it helps.Thanks
