The detection distance is fantastic. It has the ability to detect across all bands.I think the setup might be a bit complicated for a novice user. This isn't a use straight out of the box piece of equipment. It takes some tweaking and customization. I can see where people might complain about it going off to frequently, but this isn't the result of a defect. It is due to the settings needing to be adjusted. There are number of websites that can provide very good default settings. There are three very good Android and IoS apps that allow you to easily customize and create "lock outs" for areas with false alerts like you might get from the automatic doors at a store. You can also choose what bands and frequencies you'd like to ignore.I'm not a fan of the suction mount. It works well, but too large to be discreet. I found a LISEN MagSafe Car Mount works well and is inexpensive.

I bought this to replace my Passport because the false alerts from K band on rear facing sensors on brands like Honda, Acura, Jeep, Pacificas and others were driving me crazy. Right out of the gate I noticed it was better but I was still getting some false alerts so needless to say I was disappointed. Then upon some research I found out there was an update that eliminated those specific frequencies to stop those false alerts. I plugged it in and updated it not convinced it was going to work. To my surprise it did! Now I barely have any false alerts aside from the occasional CVS or Dollar General which you can block out. Furthermore the range on this thing is amazing far outperforming my Passport. To those that complain about laser alerts you don't understand what laser is. It's a beam! You can't "detect" laser you only know once you've been hit which is why any radar detector doesn't make you invincible. I will be buying one for my other vehicle to replace my other Passport.

I'm a diehard escort customer, I've been using their radars for last 15 years and after I left my Max 360c in a rental car I was looking for a cheaper option. This radar blows anything out of the park, it is quite, accurate and has an extreme long range. I downloaded the app right away and upgraded to the latest firmware and database. Let me get back to it being quiet actually so quite you wonder if it's even on. The only problem I had with my Max 360c was too many false alerts and this radar won me by suppressing most of them, even the alerts are not as annoying as in escort radars they are easy on your ears. Connecting via Bluetooth was extremely easy and menu is even easier, I was literally done within 10 minutes. If you are looking for a the best radar detector "This is the one".

Performance is great. Out performs every radar detector I have owned. I love being able to change settings qnd update firmware through the app. The range of this unit is impressive. But more than anything i love how quiet it is. Once you get all your settings just right you experience very very few false alerts. The mounting system system is great. The suction cup mount held perfectly when i used it. I bought a great rear view mirror mount for 20 bucks on ebay that is on par with similar mounts that cost over 80 bucks. Mounts attach to the detector by way of ¼ -20 threads so you could easily design your own. I purchased the direct wire kit so i dont have to bother with cords. But the cord that is included is great quality. You get a lot of features with this detector. And Radenso adds more with every firmware update they do. I am no doubt a Radenso customer from here on out. This is my first Radenso product and i am very satisfied.
