This radiator cover fit PERFECTLY over the existing, plastic, radiator cover on my 2005 Honda VTX 1300R. The trick to attaching the cover is to attach the bottom first. At the base of the radiator, jutting down from the middle, is a short, plastic, cylindical-shaped shield. The two(2) big tabs on the base of this stainless steel shroud, each have a small tab pointing inward. These two(2) 'mini' tabs need to slide BEHIND the cylindical-shaped shield, effectively 'hooking' on the back of the cylindical-shaped shield.This locks the bottom of the shield in place and prevents it from falling forward.To attach the top, remove the screw holding the horn, the two(2) screws securing the top of the radiator, and the small steel plate that covers the top of the radiator. With the bottom of the stainless steel shroud already hooked behind the cylindical-shaped shield, guide the top of the shield into place over the existing plastic radiator cover -- the two(2) holes at the top of the stainless steel shroud should align with the two(2) female screw holes located at the top of the radiator. Place the small steel plate on top of the stainless steel shroud - aligning the screw holes, then secure the small steel plate (and the stainless steel shroud) by reattaching the two(2) screws that had been previously removed.Reattach the horn and... voila! You have a great looking, secure, Radiator Grill Guard/Shroud.

Excellent nice heavy Chrome for those of you who are new to these covers for the VTX you still have to use the original Factory plastic cover and you put the Chrome cover on top of that turned out wonderful
