This is a beautiful cheese slicer. I bought one for my son for Christmas and it was so nice, I had to buy one for myself to replace my green marble one. Then one of my daughters in law saw mine and liked it so much, I bought her one too.It slices very easily and is well made.

The size i ordered is perfect for what I need. It is definitely marble. Not heavy but not light where it will slide around. Slices cheese with great ease.

First of all, every one of the rubber feet were no longer attached so I had to glue them back on. Then I had to watch a you tube video to attach the wire since there was NO directions. When trying to attach the handle and wire, the handle just kept spinning and broke off inside so I had to glue that too. Not happy!!!

I was really excited when I saw this cheese slicer, because it looked very nice with the natural marble. I've been needing a replacement since my handheld wire slicer quit some time ago.The item arrived in good condition, with all four feet glued on, but as soon as it was set on a flat surface, it was apparent that they are uneven because this thing rocks back and forth a lot. Perhaps I can use a file to make them even.Next, there are three wires taped to the bottom, and even after trying to scrub it off the bottom of the board, the adhesive is still visible.Then, it is time to install the wire. This is a new handle design for me. How does a person do that? I looked in the box, online at the product description, and finally searched youtube for a how-to of a similar product before finding out that the wire attaches to the screw portion of the handle and is held in place when you tighten the screw on the nut on the metal bar. That was frustrating. There should have been simple instructions included.Finally, the last straw for me was actually trying to slice some cheese for a sandwich only to find out that it is not possible with a full loaf of Tillamook cheddar. The wire is too short and the handle lands in the middle of the block of cheese. This might work for someone who buys the tiny loaves of cheese, but not for a family who makes real cheese sandwiches.On top of that, the wire seats in a thin groove, which collects cheese and is open to the handle hole. This makes it incredibly difficult to clean- both the groove and the handle hole. Now I have to figure out how to clean that tiny groove.

The green marble stone is so cool looking! It's heavy and nicely polished. There's no instructions on how to put it together but it's pretty easy to figure out. The wire gets looped around the metal bar(the side that has a small slit around it) when you slide it in the hole on the marble board and the other side of the wire attaches to the screw that holds the handle in place. You can slide the handle towards you to make the wire extra tight. It comes with 3 cutting wires that cut the cheese with ease. It had rubber feet that were glued on that easily popped off with the slightest touch, so I'll probably replace them with felt pads. Other than the feet popping off, this cheese slicer is beautiful and is a nice quality marble.
