These router templates are were a bit of a surprise. I have a comparable product made by Rockler, with interchangeable inserts for the various router profiles, and in contrast to these little blue guys, THAT blue guy is huge. These templates are tiny. However, it's unlikely that their size will be a problem. The biggest advantage I can see of the larger design is that it's more comfortable (and maybe slightly safer?) to hold. But there isn't anything inherently flawed about the design of these, and they have the added advantage of not risking any broken pieces (The Rockler version has a bunch of plastic tabs that could easily break off).One odd quark that might not matter: There is definitely a correct and an incorrect way to pack these back in the box, if you want to store them in the original container. They way they sit inside of each other is handy, but also a bit like a game of Tetris the first few times. If you aren't trying to put them back in the box, then this will likely be a non-issue.

These are nice but too small. I think the only way they would safely work is using a router attached to a router table. Even then, it doesn’t seem very safe, they’re so small, your hand would be kind of close to where the cute would be made. I attempted to use with a handheld router. My router is a two hand style. I’d have to clamp this template to the wood. The template is so small the clamp gets in the way. I knew this might be an issue when purchasing but I couldn’t find anything else and thought I might be able to work with it somehow. Also, I think these are way overpriced for what they are. Shouldn’t be more than $10, even that seems like a bit much. If you’re a confident and experienced woodworker with a router table or a smaller one hand style router these might work well for you. I personally wouldn’t want my hand that close to the bit even if I had those things.

I received these promptly from ups, the package was undamaged.I received 4 templates, each has 2 radius cuts on them, the numbers on them are metric.they are made of a smooth plastic material. the size of the templates is 4 3/8"x2 3/4"You can use these by setting them up in the corner of your board/work piece and I strongly recommend using a router table to route the template corner out. by flipping the template over you have access to another profile that you can use. For me I found these templates awkward to use. I have large fingers and hands. Because of the size of the templates, it requires you to place your fingers rather close to the spinning router bit.I was hoping for larger templates that I could either fasten to the work, or hold more comfortably further away from the work.Provided is a picture of me simulating the use of one of the templates. The surface of the template is smooth and will guide the bearing on the router bit without and imperfections. I also placed a square on the template to check the edge of the template face for squareness, and it did look to be a true 90 degree edge.Overall, my impression of the templates are, they all well made of a sturdy plastic, and the all the surfaces are smooth to the touch, and square. I was not comfortable with the size of the templates, I would not personally feel comfortable running them thru a router table, and due to their size and the way they are made, hausing a handheld router and securing them to the work surface do not seem possible.

These templates are nice and thick. Very sturdy so that clamping them to your workpiece doesn't make them warp or distort out of shape. They provide a great way to round over the corners of my workpieces with a router. Highly recommend.

I received these a few days ago and was excited to put them to the test. First of all, they are small. The dimensions were stated in the Amazon ad, so this is accurate. They are double sided, so you have eight different corner profiles to choose from. The material seems sturdy and is very well machined with smooth edges for the roller bearings to ride along. I like the 3 finger holes to hold them secure to your wood. These are to be used with a top bearing router bit in a table router. I have only tried them out with scrap wood so far as I do not have a project for these yet. They do work very well, and I felt safe using them. I wish they were a little bit bigger and had a knob or handle that you could screw into place from either side, just to hold them a little more securely to your wood. I think this is something that I can do to these myself, but it would have been nice if it was already done. I suppose you could also use double sided tape to hold them also, but that should not be necessary.I think the price is fair and I would recommend these for anyone with a mounted or table router.

This set of corner templates are a fine addition to the woodworking jigs I have available to aid in time saving without sacrificing accuracy.This set is made from ABS, a perfect plastic for woodworking jigs. Very tolerable to temperature changes while very durable.The templates are perfectly aligned on a 90° reference and vary in roundness.Awesome set!I recommend.

A little double sided tape and I could use a pattern straight bit to shape and smooth the corners of the lid I made for a box I was making. Just pick it up, apply to the next corner, run the router and repeat. Easy peasy.
