Couldn't get it to fit my downspout because it's too big poor design I returned it.

Installed this on our gutter downspout, using it to fill up a 275-gallon tote that we're using as a rain barrel. It did the job in 2 good size rain events!!

Firstly I have square downspouts so while this works for me, it has gaps either side of my downspout into the diverter which other than asthetics, doesn't make it less affective.I didn't use the short hose it comes with, I used PVC condensate pipe. Also I removed the cap insert as I find it's far more affective at filling my barrel than going out down the other half of the downspout. It's really good! But there's definitely some improvements that could be done.

Doesn't seem to stay together well but it does help keep leaves out of barrel

The finished product mounted was not as stable as I would like. Didn't realize you only get about 40% of the water coming down the spout, which is probably a standard of this style of unit as our other purchase passes through about 50% of the water. The connection tubing attaches well at the spout, but making a connection at the water barrel? 😕. Nonetheless, we made the connection and it was successful in filling our 200.gallons worth of barrels this year. Will watch out this forthcoming year as we modify our 2 sets of downspout connected water barrels. Overall, I could make it work.

A few moving/connecting parts. No Paperwork Product needs its own mounting it just stays by gutter pressure above and below.

I collect rainwater from my roof and I have 4 different diverters. This one does the job (which is my bar for 5*). It's very thick PVC so it will stand up to the weather. It's as easy to install as other ones on the market and just needs to be slid after you cut the downspot. The good:-It's a real diverter. This product will divert water completely instead of allowing some to go down the downspout until you cap the downspout (see the bad section)-It's a good value for what you pay compared to others on the marketThe bad:-it doesn't come with a way to cap the outlet. NBD, you can make a cap yourself with some extra clamps and a rubber stopper. You wont be able to stop the flow of water to your rainwater container without this though.-The hose it comes with is too short. It's like 14 inches. I wanted to mount this at the top of my downspout so I ended up buying extra hose. The unfortunate:The way it is designed appears to me to be likely to clog. This is pretty much the biggest flaw with this. If you get leaves in your downspout, this is just another thing for the leaves to block. Skip the filter and you'll only have to check this once a year maybe.
