It looks so pretty! The chain is a bit skinny, but in not concerned right now. I also bought the spikes to stake them into the ground. They look GREAT! Buying 2 more because they're just that beautiful.

This is very nice looking but even during an average rain the cups couldn't hold the water and easily overflowed pouring water outside of the cup, not inside, which missed the chain completely. Probably good for a drizzling rain.

I wanted a rain chain for years and finally purchased for an early birthday gift for myself :) and it is everything I thought it would be, just better.It's beautiful with the tulip shaped cups, was simple to install, (remove metal drain pipe and drop in its place), add bucket or rain barrel and when it rains it makes a lovely, soft sound like music as the cups touch when they drain into each other-really so much better than cranky wind chimes.I wish I had purchased sooner! Just entering the dry season here in Oregon, but looking forward to October!

My house is built on a hill. The downspout in this corner has been missing since I bought the house three years ago. The rain battered that area and created a hole, which I filled with rocks, but it was still terribly loud. Since it's right outside my daughter's room, I was trying to plan a downspout, but there's a walkway right there that it would either drain onto or need to be routed over...Enter these adorable cups!I waited until we had a rain and then a snowstorm to write this review because if they were horribly noisy or dreadfully useless, you would need to know that... but they worked great! Not only did they slow down the water, but they made no sound that we could hear inside.Now, as originally stated, my house is on a hill. You will need to find a way to secure the bottom link of the chain, or they will blow all over the place in the wind. I had to get creative because my gutter was 10.5 feet off the ground, and the chain was not long enough to reach the ground. In the high-wind environment I live in, I didn't want to take the chance of the cups getting damaged or whipped up into the window.

These are sturdy and are fully powder coated black. I have had these installed on my house and after a few rain storms it still looks good and no rust. They do create a pleasant noise. I like how it looks and it adds some character to my home. All in all a great addition to the home and a way to change up the typical square gutters.Hope this helps!
