I had a hard time getting the notes to be clear, you have to hit the tongue at a very exact spot. So there's no real performances being made with this, but I do love the idea of putting this in a backyard or garden. By the water eaves and letting mother nature play you a little tune. There's a plug on the bottom that you can remove, much like a piggy bank so the drum doesn't fill up with water. It gets a solid 4 stars from me!

the paint job is strange. it’s textured and shimmers a bit. its pretty neat.the leaf design makes this more cozy.

Cheer up your mood on a rainy day with this cleverly designed percussion instrument. Locate an area which can direct a random cascade of rain onto this device, then sit back and enjoy the concert! This product is very portable, so you can change the position of your "orchestra" to suit your pleasure. My advice? Avoid your gutter downspout unless you like your music LOUD...! Nothing to charge or plug in, just nature doing its work. Enjoy a natural soundtrack for times of inclement weather.

I seen how they work but didn't order enough notes. Was disappointed only because size. They make bigger ones. I will. Try again

This is a small tongue drum with six notes. My wife, a music teacher, uses this as one of the many tools she uses with her students. It is well constructed, with good tones on the pitch. Great for kids of all ages.

This is a nice alternative to a children's xylophone to give a kid to play with. It's compact, almost too small, but does provide a decent sound. It would be nice if it could be just a little bigger and include another tone or two, but as it is we like it pretty well.

I got this specifically to listen to as it rains, and it definitely DOES NOT work in the rain. It's a great toy, I guess. Pretty useless for what I wanted. 1 star for false advertisement.

This is an awesome little drum. I'm not sure about it being a rain drum... I think the rain would have to be pretty darn hard. But it's adorable, sounds high pitched and sweet, and will make a great stocking stuffer for my music loving spouse. :) Comes in a nice little box, very giftable. But know that it is tiny... smaller than your palm. It's meant to be cute and fun and portable... set your expectations and it's awesome.
