Your cart is empty.Rainbow Dream 1 Inch PVC Male Adapter is designed in order to connect two sections of PVC piping and other fittings with different end types, diameters, or materials. It features a 1 inch slip fit connection on one side and a 1 inch male National Pipe Taper (NPT) threaded connection on the other. It has a female slip opening on one end for sliding over a male unthreaded pipe and male NPT threads on the other end for connecting to a female threaded pipe. The slip end connects to pipes with a smooth bore for enhanced flow, and the NPT threads create a tighter seal than straight threads. Rainbow Dream 1 Inch PVC Male Adapter is made of PVC which has excellent resistance to corrosion and scaling with high-tensile, high-impact strength and less weight than fittings made from metal. They are non-toxic, lightweight and easy to install and maintain. Installation requires the use of primer and solvent cement. They are also highly resilient. PVC Schedule 40 has better sound deadening qualities. It is suitable for cold-water pressure distribution systems including irrigation, pool and spa, potable water, underground sprinkler systems, and chilled water applications. Projects often require different types of PVC pipe fittings to ensure a sound system. However they should never be used for gas or compressed air applications. Fittings are for pressure applications have high impact strength and are intended for systems that will not exceed 140° F. Our Rainbow Dream 1 Inch PVC Male Adapter is much heavier and longer than normal small factories. This fitting meets American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM) D2466 and D1784 specifications for quality assurance and also it is certified to comply with NSF requirements.
