The overall mechanical build quality is good. It was a bit of work building with the self tapping screws/bolts supplied, but it went together. The issue with this rack are the mounting holes on the rails. I was only able to mount one piece of gear using all mounting holes. The holes are not properly spaced. For example, for the 2 patch panels in my photos, I'm only able to use 2 screws to mount them. In addition, several of the holes used to mount the casters were not properly drilled either.

this is maybe the second time i've written an amazon review. i was compelled to write this partially because i personally don't understand the other negative reviews for this product. they seem a bit exaggerated for some reason. i had zero issues putting this together. these other reviews initially worried me, so i purchased a pack of assorted nuts and bolts when i ordered this rack unit in case the fasteners included didn't fit or in case the quantities were off, but i never needed to use a single one of them. it came with everything needed and although the printed instructions were brief and condensed onto a single sheet of paper, it was a breeze to put together. it is very sturdy for being a two-post rack of this height. i'm using it to be able to organize and roll out my outboard hardware audio effects etc. and i don't think anything else would have fit the bill as well as this particular product. i have since then bought a different product from this same manufacturer with no issues there either. needless to say, i'm very satisfied with it.
