The rim is heavy duty and nice quality. It looks like it will last. The problem is that the mounting holes are drilled too close to the bracket edges, so it’s very difficult to get a wrench or socket on them. Might be OK if you were using a screw, but given how it needs to be solidly mounted, you’ll probably need a larger piece of mounting hardware. I mounted it to a wooded wall with 5/16 lags. Had to really work at getting the wrench/socket on the head as it got close to being tight.

Ordered this because at the time it was offered with a small discount. Read multiple reviews so I knew the net wouldn’t hold up but already had a great net from the other hoop we had. I believe the problem isn’t with the net but the fact that there is a large gap on both sides were they spaced the hooks too far apart. We’ve owned this for about 3 1/2 months and. Now the welds that hold the supports to the backing plate have broken loose on both sides! That should never happen, not even after 10 years.

The rim is good. The net only lasted for a few days of usage. It ripped apart. Very cheap material.
