I've been using Rancho's adjustable shocks since the late 90's, still have a set of RS5000X 5-way adjustables on my old Toyota truck (although its probably time to finally replace them!). I also have a set on my wife's '11 4runner and now my new '22 Chevy 2500HD.The Chevy came with Rancho shocks from the factory, but they were non-adjustable and really stiff/bouncy/jolting. Replaced with only 2,000 miles on the truck to the 9000's all the way around and I now have a much softer ride when I'm not towing, and when I do tow, I just turn them up to match the trailer I'm heading out with!3 up front and 2 in back makes the truck feel more like a 70's land yacht! Throw my 3800 lb fishing boat on the back, I use 4 and 3 and it tows very well with no porpoising or overly bouncy rear. Put my RV on the back at around 6k with a full cabin of bodies and bed filled with camping stuff, I run the shocks around 5 and 5 and she's perfect!I plan on buying a larger RV soon, and I am sure I'll be able to dial the shocks in for a heavier tongue and load, as I still have adjustability all the way up to 9!For the price of these shocks, you just can't beat them!

This is the second set of Rancho RX9000XL adjustable shocks I've installed on two different Silverado's. The first set on a 2014 Chevrolet High Country, 1500 series (1/2 ton) with 2.75" piston, with 9 positions of adjustment worked great with a slide-in camper loaded in the bed sitting on Firestone Air Bags. Setting about 1/2 way is equal to the factory Rancho shocks for damping but dialing them up to position 9, really stopped the rear end bounce over road heaves, etc. The recent set was install on a 2017 Chevrolet Silverado 2500HD (3/4-ton) with 'Sumo' Rubber over-load springs and again with the same results as the first with a heavier slide-in camper; tamed the rear end bounce. The set for the 2500 series was not as large in diameter but worked just as well as the 2.75" diameter shock. The representative indicated there was a 33% increase in damping over the older shock; they work and would purchase again! For those towing trailers and feeling your vehicle 'porpoising', try 9-position adjustable on the front of your vehicle to dampen out the front of the tow vehicle from its increased vertical movement. Limited Lifetime Warranty and return policy if not satisfied, you can't go wrong. Oh, installation on the rear only takes about 25 minutes with 2-end wrenches...easy swap! Interested in Sumo Springs...see attached photos of how easy they are to install and NO air needed. Pop out the original 'bump-stops' and press in the Sumo Springs. You can purchase them for different resistive-compression pounds; 1800 lbs spring in photo. I also installed 2200 lb Sumo's on the front (4) and it stopped the 'roll' with a slide-in camper in the bed. When vehicle is unloaded in the rear, they don't touch and back to factory ride. Safe Travels...

I purchased this shock for my 2017 3500HD, I found the rear end a little stiff over bumps. I put these shock on it they are great for towing or not towing. You can just adjust the stiffness depending if you are towing

I have a 2012 GMC 2500HD 4X4 4door 5th wheel hauler. I spoke with a Rancho rep. and he assured me that the 9000XL adjustable shocks set on the highest setting would stop my truck and 5th wheel from porpoising over dips and RR tracks. Not so.My OEM shocks were just as good if not better. Don't waist your money on this junk. Find a better shock or bag it like I have to.Rancho Shocks suck.

These shocks have great potential but are way too bouncy. Seems like they do a great job dampening the truck during compression of the shock but when it it uncompressing (truck is traveling back up) it doesn't dampen it at all and the result is a bouncy ride. I replaced them all with fabtech performance shocks which i love.
