I have a few of these Rand McNally "easy read" maps and they are great with my 70 year old eyes! Easy to read, and better detail than most maps.

This Rand McNally Easy to Read WA state map has similar detail as other state maps, but is easier to read due to a larger scale. I took a star off because it was not annotated in the listing the state map is divided into the west and eastern sections on the front and back of the sheet. The pictures show this map (scale 1: 551,232, 1 in = 8.7 mi) in comparison to an outdated Michelin map with similar scale to a current National Geographic Guide Map (scale 1:1,267,000, 1 in = 20 mi) and a free Scenic Washington map from scenicwa.cm (scale 1:842,000, 1 in = 13.3 mi). Both older maps have been marked with a magenta highlighter by owner. The Rand McNally map is much easier to read but is more difficult to visualize the entire state. The Scenic WA map is fairly easy to read but the roads are marked for the various type of scenic byways and is much harder to distinguish between major interstates and smaller highways. The Michelin map (probably the same for Nat Geo version) gives the much better view of the entire region and major highways, but is much more difficult to see the small lettering.
