My stove-top was getting stuck in the "high" position no matter how low I set it. I called a repairman out and the quote was too close to the cost of a new range for my liking. So I decided to DIY it. It looked easy enough watching some videos, and actually was! Time will tell how long it will last, but my range gets used pretty much daily and so far, so good.

I have a 9 year old range. The large front dual ring burner began over-heating to “high”. No matter how low the burner was set, the burner was constantly red hot and could not be adjusted. The first switch I received was defective. It worked on only the smaller center part of the dual burner and not on the larger, outer ring. I returned it and installed the second. It has stopped working after 6 months and both inner and outer burner rings are now, again, constantly on the high setting no matter where the knob is set.I will purchase the part again from a local and reputable appliance store.

The front-left heating element on my Whirlpool electric stove had stopped regulating temperature. It would continuously stay on high even on the lowest setting. After troubleshooting, I purchase this replacement infinite switch. Installation took less than 30 minutes. After putting the stove back together, I was successfully able to regulate the temperature again on this element. For reference, the model number of the stove is: WFE320M0AS0

Unfortunately we had the front burner on a newer whirlpool glass range stop working properly. It would just not maintaining the selected temperature. It was the wife’s favorite one of course.. This fixed and it was easy to install and she’s happy again.

Not much to report about this repair component, other than it is a whirlpool electric stove infinite switch. Easy to remove the old switch and install the new. A few screws, disconnect a couple of leads with needle-nosed pliers, and you're done. Probably saved a couple hundred by doing this super-easy job myself. If one man can do it, so can another!

Perfect fit for dual burner on Maytag oven/stove we bought from Lowe’s 5 years ago. Knob does NOT extend too far out like others. I looked everywhere for this part and it didn’t seem like even Maytag/Whirlpool makes this part anymore. Tough to find. Decided to take a risk and buy on Amazon and it came about 4-7 days ahead of their anticipated time of arrival. Part replaced looks exactly the same. Same color, same text/model numbers. Look on YouTube if you need to figure out how to replace it yourself. Easy to do. Don’t waste money paying someone else to do it. Also, you get to clean all the crap that’s been under the oven for all these years. It ain’t pretty! Give it a good scrub and it’s like new again.
