Even though it is made to resist knife cuts and punctures, it fits well and is very flexible.

I've bought these over and over, having given mine to fishing friends on fishing trips. They work well for holding onto a fish in the boat and not getting punctured by a fin spine, as well as for cleaning fish.

The glove allows you to hold the slimy beast from slipping off the table or into the sink. it gives you a sense of security with the knife flashing about. You can work very fast to dispatch the fish. When completed, I just drop it in the washer while dodging the wife. I has held up well.

i had a glove just like this but it got very old. This new one is just like it. Its a little tight for a large but i think it will loosen up from use.

I am so happy that we bought these gloves before we went on vacation. We went on a fishing trip to Florida and they came in very handy when trying to handle the fish. In particular they saved my husband from a sting from an ocean catfish. They were shipped quickly and fit my husband perfectly. I also used them and they were a little big, but they were very useful because I hate touching fish. They are thick enough to be useful and keep your hands from slipping, but not so thick that they impair your dexterity. I was able to handle the fish with no problems and they also were useful when I was trying to use shrimp to as bait. They kept slipping out of my hands before I put the gloves on, but once I had them on I could keep a hold of them. My husband also used them when he was cleaning the fish to help protect his hands from the knife and to keep the fish from slipping. This was a great purchase.

As far as I'm concerned, these are the best wood carving (fillet) gloves sold! Over the years, I've bought several and recommended them to MANY other wood carvers and have never had any issues with them. They will NOT protect from a STAB, but WILL protect extremely well from an accidental slice! I've never had a knife cut since using these gloves and HIGHLY recommend them to other wood carvers vice the expensive professional (???) wood carving gloves. Save your money (and hands) and buy these gloves to wood carve!

I do not clean fish. I do work with very sharp tools though. Wood carving knives and gouges. Sharp enough that you know you cut yourself when you see bloody finger prints, never feel the cut. With this glove I don't worry as much about a slicing cut. Of course a stab from the point of a knife will go through the weave.Have used other gloves but I find this glove more comfortable to wear and can easily grip the carving I am working on, Caricatures primarly. The large glove fits me perfectly.--bill
