I’m still a beginner at fly fishing – both with casting and with fly tying. Several of these flies simply don’t match the indigenous insects in my area and thus probably won’t help me catch any fish. However, they will make great “practice flies” for my regular casting practice sessions. I’ll nip the point off the hook (for safety purposes) and then cast, cast, cast.

The kit has a nice variety to choose from. The case makes it easy to transport. They haven't fell apart yet. So far I'm liking them.

Yhis is a huge assortment of flies, while these are definitly not your top of the line hand ties flys you get from a local fly shop they are pretty decent and fizh pretty well to. For the money it is definitly somethimh worth picking up for your fly fishing set up

These being for a beginner, are a really great kit - offering a ton of choices while figuring things out. They have been working great over the course of a couple less intensive outings, but there is some noticeable wear with some of them. I would definitely recommend these to a beginner or even as a gift to someone a little more experienced. You can definitely reuse the box they come in!

I don't think there is any debate that a nice high quality hand tied fly is "better" than some of what you may find in this kit, but for the price you are getting incredible value with this kit. All the flies appear to be well constructed, and did not fall apart after a few test casts. I like the variety that comes in it, and this would be a good first step for someone on their fly fishing journey to figure out what kind of flies they may want. The only negative that I can share is that some of the colors are kind of out there, so, depending on where you live you may experience more or less luck using sets like these which are not targeted to specific types of regions.

I bought these for about 25$ I've used 3 now and all 3 have fallen apart this one hasn't even been used yet and has already fallen apart so I'm hoping it's just been a fluk that every one used so far has very poor quality
