Have been using the Ravin lighted nocks for four years. I'm finally done with them. They don't light, difficult to turn off. Fletching falling off. I now just use the regular bolts. If don't find it after shooting a deer no big deal.

Right out of the box, the nocks do NOT work. I shot one through a buck with a rage 2" mechanical tip destroying both deployable blades on the way through. The nock never lit the entire trip. I retrieved the arrow and like the previous one - I experimented with it to get it to function. Removing the tip and with both hands grasping the shaft of the arrow I slammed it down onto a hard piece of rubber and was able to get it to light up. Some WD40 and channel locks were ESSENTIAL for on off function. The You Tube videos claim a rubber arrow extractor works. Not until you exercise these things. RAVIN - Do Your Job!

Yes it does, high recommend getting the nock extinguisher for an easy way to turn off the lighted nock, works right out of the package besides putting on your own field tips which you should get ones for crossbows since these bolts really are thicker to be used with any field tip meant for regular bow arrows. Only shot to see if the lumenock works and it does, I eyeballed the shot along the rail and really did hit a bullseye at less than 5 yards away.

To start off, only 1 of the 3 lighted nocks worked when loaded. One of the two that did not work, it was lighted when nocked but turned off as soon as it was fired and couldn't be found. The .001 bolts themselves are great, the 1 that worked, I took down a deer at 25 yards using a Swhacker mechanical broadhead. For the price, these are NOT worth the gamble. They are indeed as difficult to turn off as others have mentioned. I tried a few of the "tricks" online and it was still a struggle.

I have used these for two seasons and harvested multiple deer. They are very effective on the range and in the woods when shooting. However, these are sometimes very difficult to turn off. I had to go back to the pro shop twice to get turned off and/or replaced.

These lighted bolts are not a necessity for any hunting, but it helps to see the flight of the arrow, since most shots are taken in a not bright daylight conditions. Most of the remarks are accurate. The light sometimes doesn't stay on too long, sometimes it is hard to shut off. They are expensive. I like using them, have been using them for hunting for the last 2-3 years and plan on continue to use.
