Hi,My first pair were a different waterproof model. I wrote a very satisfied review and updated a year later praising that they held up well(I cycle 3/4 pairs of boots/sneeks a year)I happily purchased this pair perhaps a year later. Upon reciept was very happy w style, comfort and price( assuming they were waterproof) I may have worn a day a week and was always happy. That is until the first time I walked the dog in a mornings dew around the property. My feet were soaked! At that point I did have them a few months but they were basically brand new.I contacted the company 3x and Amazon 2x and never got word back from either here. I also emailed Rax 2x and they did not respond either.Aside from dress shoes all I purchase is waterproof footwear with a membrane or preferrably Gore Tex.It rained a bit earlier and just got back from a walk w the dog. I was working in the basement and did not give it a thought going out.My feet are soaked. I am pissed and I will not be purchasing again. I bet there is no membrane in these whatsoever.As to being"HIKING BOOTS"They are not as the company and reviewers claim.They are sneakers w a soft foam sole that I would not feel confident doing any rugged hiking as you will shurley roll your ankle.Right now I have a pair of Keen Pittsburg and Danner Marine goretex. These are far more formittable hiking boots and they wont get wet.

Quality materials light weight walking in house seem to be comfortable and tru to size. They are a good buy with good looks.

I spend a lot of time on concrete, outdoors. These shoes are comfortable, cool and somewhat light - compared to my other work boots. I wouldn't classify these as a work boot but for what I do I can wear these. I have to say I liked them so much I bought two pairs

these were pretty true to size but the tongue didn't close all the way where the hooks start and there was a gap between the tongue and the shoe there. so you could see my socks and let the dirt in. I would have kept them but I thought my socks would get dirt on them pretty quick.

I've tried them all and Rax has them beat hands down. The most comfortable and stable hikers I've ever owned. The wide footprint gives great traction whether acending or decending a trail. The ankle support is great as well.
