If you’re thinking about getting this to go with your Raymarine VHF, there are better options. The speaker connects via bluetooth. And not some special proprietary Raymarine bs. You can connect it to your phone. But this goes both ways, you can bluetooth the wireless hand mic to a pair of headphones or your stereo. So there’s not much use for this thing. Plus, no matter what you pipe through it the sound, sounds like it’s coming over the VHF Radio.I ran out of time to do a return, so I actually installed it in the shower, so we can listen to music or what have you from our phones since its water resistant.I guess, in the one in a million chance I was at anchor taking a shower, had the vhf headset paired, and was being hailed or there was a distress call, I’d know. But again, I’m in the shower.Anyway, don’t buy this thing, its a hat on a hat.
