Made the absolute mistake of buying this because the TC-Helicon GOXLR mini was out of stock. Razer synapse software and their current firmware update turn this into a $300 paperweight. Every workaround they reccomend does not work. Reddit is full of people just as disappointed as I am with the product and posts as far back as 6 months ago are still experiencing the problems. Even the workarounds they have aren't giving ANY results. Severely disappointed in my purchase. Please don't make the same mistake I did.

Nice lil mixer, I do have to restart the app or PC now and then because the sound channel will degrade and go in to a robotic mode. Its not often but does happen.

When using the audio razer mixer for the past year I was more than unsatisfied.Every time I use it I am Audio issue where all I hear is static. I have each time to unplug and replug the audio mixer. And that bug occur every 2 minutes. The support is unreachable so dont even think of getting help.

This mixer is by far the best bang for your buck when it comes to functionality, but it falls short in actual performance. Every time I reboot my PC or wake it from sleep I have to replug the usb to get it to output anything. There's also frequent driver reboots that cause any video playback to buffer for a short time, then desync from the audio. Razer had stated that they are aware of this issue but have not given any further explanation on a fix or workaround simply stating that they are aware of the issue. It has been nearly a year. The functionality of this mixer puts it above all other options for the price point, but the software problems make it worthless. This mixer is a paper weight thanks to snyapse.

This product will likely cause you a million headaches if you try to use it for any of the other features besides as a microphone interface. I would get static noise that made using it as an audio output impossible so it makes all the sound devices useless. I would highly suggest something else such as the goXLR mini or something else and avoid this product.

on the upside of being able to control volume without tabbing out of your full screen application, downside being, each time you boot up may require some set up.the set/preset apps and channels does not always work at boot. requires synapse to auto run on start up, unplug/replugin of mixer, toggling/swapping channels assigned on slider and re-checking of sound device preference for every single possible application installed.product may benefit from a better preset setting that has improved detection/allocation of application to available channels.audio wise....from my setup,

So, I bought the Razer Audio Mixer for my girlfriends birthday mainly because the goxlr mini was out of stock. Ive been using a goxlr for a while and while i had never experienced a razer audio mixer, I figured since it was a big brand it should function for what she needed. Once we received the product, I should have realized from setting it up how bad the experience with this mixer would really be.No matter what we did, audio would not be sent through the mixer. I set it up exactly how the manual told me to, but while the computer recognized it, it was not accepting audio through it. I tried unplugging it and plugging it back in, I tried swapping what usb port it was plugged into on the pc, I tried turning phantom power off and back on, I even tried unplugging the mic and headphones from both sides of the cables, yet nothing seemed to work. But finally, once I thought all hope was lost, I unplugged it from the pc for a 3rd time, and this somehow caused it to work. I dont know if it was a fluke accident or if I had done something wrong up to this point, but so far I was not happy with it, and it only got worse from here. After that ordeal, the next issue popped up: the software. Razer synapse has been known to be a little... frustrating for some products, but its on a whole other level with this. For some reason, her audio profile would randomly reset mid-use. As an example, there were times where she was in a discord call with friends and they randomly wouldnt be able to hear her, only for us to find out that synapse had made her mic output to 0 for no reason whatsoever. Once we figured out why it was happening it was simple to just fix it whenever it occured, but it only continued to get worseThe next issue is what is making me write this review. Randomly, and i mean with 0 warning whatsoever, her mixer will just stop working all together. Her mic will switch to her webcam mic and her audio will start coming through her monitor. The only way we've found to fix this is to unplug the Razer audio mixer and plug it back in, and when that doesnt work it requires a full system restart. Now, if youve ever played an online mulitplayer game, you know that restarting your system isnt really an option mid-match. There are also times where it wont fully stop working, but all audio that goes to her headphones will get extremely fuzzy almost to the point of unintelligible. Even with this issue, we wanted to try to make it work. Then, this issue started being a daily occurence, sometimes multiple times a day. With all the BS we've had to deal with to try and make a singular audio mixer work, ive finally thrown in the towel. In conclusion: i DO NOT recommend this audio mixer for any reason whatsoever. While it is tempting to go with an audio mixer from a big brand like razer, the cons for outweigh the pros. In the end, i just recommend going with the goxlr mini, itll cause far less headaches for you in the future.

Weather you are a content creator or just an every day gamer, having this control at you fingertips really is a game changer. I can control my discord chat, system volume, game volume, and music application volume all on one easy to understand control module. With the sensor button I feel it is more of a shtick than real life, I do wish you could customize its purpose as well, but either way the quality of this device is obvious. From the weight of the console to the movement of the switches, it is a really nice product!

I have previously used a Focusrite for XLR mic inputs and monitor speaker outputs. This is a more limited device in the sense that it does not include standard left/right monitor outputs and is more geared toward headphone use while streaming. In terms of digitizing XLR mic inputs, the functionality is the same, with functional phantom power and a clean signal. It is a very light box, so the XLR cable needs to be managed well to avoid it pulling the box out of position. The main benefit of this device is having sliders for quick and intuitive volume or mic gain changes. The sliders feel good to use and the lighting, once set up, is generally helpful. One very obvious thing that is missing is a visual indicator of mic spiking/clipping. That really should be on any device like this. Since the lighting is configurable, this feature could be added with a software update. Otherwise, the software is okay, albeit feeling early. The voice changer and bleep button could definitely use more customization to be useful. There is also no button to switch to them quickly. A noise gate function is included, which is useful and appreciated. If you want a basic DSLR input along with some volume sliders for different programs, this should do the job. I like the customizable LED lighting as well. It does not do enough, in my opinion, to justify the MSRP.
