These receivers are older models and don’t connect to the newer X9S transmitters. They want you to put an old X9 update into your transmitter to connect to the older receivers. But then you can’t connect to the updated newer receiver that they send you with the transmitter… They didn’t think this through. If you need this receiver for an X9s just buy it directly from WFLY on Ali. We can't even get the update in the US.

I was told by Wfly that to make receiver work with the X9S the receiver has to be “upgraded”. I have yet to be able to get the receiver to hold the firmware upgrade. Out of the two receivers I bought only one will upgrade but fails after turning off the receiver power. Wfly needs to have these receivers ready for use out of the box.
