I had been without a gas stovetop for MONTHS, since the line had to be repaired, and I had to wait to get that done. It got to be getting close to Xmas, and though I had portable cooktops I could use, it just wasn't the same as cooking with gas. When my guy arrived a week before Xmas to fix the gas line and install the cooktop, I was ecstatic! Using gas cooktops makes cooking with being able to finesse the heat so much easier than cooking with anything electric, and my fudge--the first thing I made using the new gas cooktop--turned out perfectly! I've been cooking away ever since then, and for the most part this is a wonderful cooktop, with just a couple finicky things that bother me a bit. One is the smaller size of the grates' metal supports for the pan you are using. My big pans stay put but I do have to be a little careful using a small saucepan without tipping the contents over onto the stovetop! The height of the grates doesn't bother me at all, however, and I typically like to place pans straight out of the oven on them so they can cool better and faster, and I don't have to worry about burning a countertop with a super hot pan. And including a wok ring was pure genius, though I have to admit that I am not the best a making Asian foods yet! I am hoping to get many years of service from this Rangaire gas cooktop AND get better at cooking foods in a wok!

Functional, stylish design, great quality:This product is compact but powerful, with a pretty nice heat output and good flame control that's responsive with a wide range, making it ideal for high and low heat cooking. The product's visual aesthetic is also quite stylish and fits the modern decor of the kitchen very well, with angular features and stainless steel coloring. The product's physical quality is also quite good - the iron grates are heavy and very durable, while the stainless steel spill tray is similarly high quality and very simple to clean.Overall, this is a great product and I would recommend.

I haven't installed it yet, because it isn't going in until after the remodel, so this review is based just on visual inspection. It looks beautiful, and it seems to be built very well. It is heavy, so I'm assuming the company used thicker materials. It looks like it is going to be an easy installation as well.

So I like this cooktop and it wasn't terribly difficult to install. I did have to adapt the fitting that was already there, but my old one was plumbed with a flare nut that didn't seem to have a standard threaded adapter. I also had to cut my counter a little bit to make room for this one's body, but of course yours might be different. Just pay attention to the sizes and be aware you might have to do the same. So, as to functionality it's great and the flames can be adjust from "low" to "burn your eyelids off". However, there is one thing I don't like and that would be the grill tines/splines or whatever you want to call them. They are really tall and it looks a little odd to me, but that's just compared to my old burner that had a more recessed top. But I am also not a fan of how far away the arms are from each other and how few of them they are. It's not a big deal with a regular 12" skillet, but a tea kettle or smaller pot has to be set in the very middle or you risk it tipping over. My other top had round arms that supported pretty much any size pot/pan without a possibility of tipping over. So, I'd say compare the price, features and oddities of this one with others before deciding whether this one is worth it.

This company makes outstanding ranges. We redid the kitchen in our Air BNB and eliminated the oven as it was not being used and the space that became available housed smaller appliances more suited to short staying guests. This range was installed by our electrician who said it was easy to do. We chose natural gas as we had it available. It looks fantastic, has great heat regulation, fits numerous pots at one time and our griddle fits perfectly. I have tested cast iron, stainless steel and my Caraway pans on it. Consistent heat regulation, strong grates, easy to clean. The price point is so reasonable and the space it saves is so wonderful.
