Pro - it worksCon - it doesn't work well, as one of the prongs broke off the 1st time I used it. It's made in china so I suppose that's par for the course.

If you need to adjust your iron AR sights, then you should/need a tool. This is one of the better ones on the market. It works with both types of sights by having each end configured differently. It works great.Do you absolutely have to have it for sight adjustment? No. Old school says to use a tip of a cartridge, which works OK. Using a tip of a cartridge means you don't have to carry an extra tool or having something extra to lose. This tool just makes it super easy. There are two disadvantages to this tool. It is small enough that it is easy to misplace. The second disadvantage is it develops legs sometimes and walks. I wish this this would come in Blaze Orange or School Bus Yellow. These colors would solve the disadvantages.

trying to adjust an a2 front site is an adventure.using a nail tip or a bullet tip or anything else is frustrating, very slow going, and usually scratches the sight interior exposing bare metal.i bought this tool and it is excellent - just what I needed. so easy and quick. Some tips to using it based upon my experience:(1) DO NOT USE BRUTE FORCE when using this tool - it is made of somewhat thin metal (and it has to be so that it can fit into the sight 'notches' correctly).INSTEAD, insert the tool gently and keep turning the tool gently until it slips down into position (it may not do that until after turning it a couple of times). You will see it (flush) and feel it when it slips down to where it needs to be. at that point gently turn the tool to make your adjustments. take your time.(2) the tool may not fit far enough down between the sight 'wings' (that protect the sight post) to make contact with the sight adjustment area mentioned above. So, simply use some very fine sandpaper or steel wool (like 0000) to smooth out the paint on the tool where it makes contact with the wings. take your time and just do enough so that it slides down without having to be forced down.If that still does not work, and you are down to bare metal on the end of the tool, do the same for the inside of the wings. take your time and just do enough so that it slides down without having to be forced down.(3) in some instances one of the the tool ends (those little tips) might be bent just enough (barely able to see it) to prevent engaging the tool with the sight. So, simply take a pair of small pliers and GENTLY straighten it out.used correctly, this tool will last for years.highly recommended.

I like this for adjusting the sights - it works for standard issue M4 barrel Iron Sights. Not as effective on the aftermarket Iron Sights because everyone wants to make those just a hair smaller for some reason? Not sure. Overall - good product - will buy again.

Rien à redire excepté peut--être la longueur de l'outil, à mon avis un peu courte.

Works as intended on standard, mil-spec A1 and A2 front sight bases. I'd bold the words "standard mil-spec" if I could, because it seems that some people have issues with some front sight bases that are different or some of the flip-up sights.I've verified this works on standard A1, A2, and "F-Height" A2 front sight bases. For the unfamiliar, the "F-Height" is what is used on carbines such as the M4, many civilian products with 16" barrels, or any barrel length listed with a "carbine length gas system".I've had no issues with durability either, but then again I keep mine in a pill bottle (makes a great makeshift case) and am not constantly adjusting my front sight. Remember, your front sight should be set once to zero the rifle and then left alone. You make elevation adjustments as needed with your rear sight (if an A2), which typically is able to do so without tools. How could this product be better?Adding a hole through the center for a lanyard would help as it is small and I've had a time when I needed it but couldn't find it in my range bag (until I got home, of course). This is an easy thing to fix you want to add it, but as I now keep mine in a pill bottle with a stripper-clip guide, I don't have an issue with this. The bottle stays in my range bag when I have a rifle that makes use of the tool with me at the range.Because of this, I don't see a reason to take off a star.
