I've had mixed results with real carbon fiber parts for my Talaria. Some carbon fiber parts are too weak and not a great fit for an emoto bike. However, I am quite impressed with this carbon fiber fender. The location of the fender makes it a good candidate for a carbon fiber part because it is not subject to frequent impacts like the bash guard. Carbon fiber doesn't hold up well to impacts since it can shatter. Luckily this rear mud guard should be pretty protected while riding. I also like that the fender shape is changed to a more stylish design. The seller claims enhanced aerodynamics but I seriously doubt that aerodynamics are relevant for a fender that is installed right below the rear suspension since this area is rather guarded from the wind.As for fitment, this fender fit my Talaria MX3 perfectly. It just bolts right on using the stock mounting hardware and seems pretty secure once installed. The fender has sufficient clearance around the tire so I'm not worried about problems with tire clearance. As for weight savings, usually carbon fiber is a great material for light weight and strong parts but this fender doesn't feel much lighter than the original plastic fender. I suspect this is because this fender is quite thick compared to other carbon fiber fenders I've used. I would consider this a good thing because it makes for a more durable fender which is the main limitation of most carbon fiber parts. But if you're ordering this to save weight, it seems to be pretty similar in weight to the OEM fender so its kind of a wash. Maybe you save couple grams by switching to this. But on the bright side, due to its thickness, I suspect it will last a lot longer than other carbon fiber fenders.Overall, this is a good carbon fiber fender for the Talaria. It fits well and blocks mud from spraying on the rear shock. Although it is made from genuine carbon fiber, it feels similar in weight to the original plastic fender. I believe this is because its made from a very thick piece of carbon fiber so that extra thickness makes up for some of the weight savings. But the extra thick carbon fiber is great because carbon fiber can be quite brittle so I expect this thicker carbon fiber fender to last longer. If you're looking to do a carbon fiber build on your Talaria, this is a good fender. Its pretty sleek looking and is built to last. I wouldn't really recommend this to the average rider since its relatively expensive and works pretty much the same as a plastic fender. But if you're trying to save every gram you can, this isn't a bad option. But for the average Talaria owner, its probably not necessary.
