Liked how it turned out. Make sure you have some pipe wrenches in case. I used plumbers tape for gas fittings, no leaks when I tested with soapy water. Before adding the sand, setup the logs because they do require some playing around with to get the look and stacking correct. Take off the logs and grate. Then fill with sand. I do think the instructions were a little vague and need to be more detailed. Get the lava rock (separately). Have yet to try it to keep the house warm. Once I had all the right tools, it took me 15 minutes to setup the burner and another hour playing with the look. Turned out great! One other tip, I placed my clips that attach to the rear of the burner farther back than the middle as listed on the instructions. I purchased the 18” set. Hope it saves someone some time.

Was exactly what I was looking for. Had all the parts needed to install immediately upon receiving. Perfect size. And works great. Puts out plenty of heat for my living room.

I had someone out here quoting me 3000$ to set up gas fire log set. This works perfectly, looks good and has a reasonable price tag!

Please remove one of the small logs and add a medium size instead.

Really like the look. Just wish I could have an option for electronic lighter.

Installation - Preparing Grate (p13 Manual) - I spent a lot of wasted time trying to get the clips set up as per the manual and illustration. Finally realized the grate sent with the kit was 15", the one on the instructions was 24". The clips were of no use and misleading!Another complaint - the kit came with sand and glowing embers which were worthless. The glowing embers were actual fuzzy gray fabric that reminded me of a dead mouse. What I really needed was decorative "lava granules/coals" which were described as "Optional" and needed to be purchased separately. I am going to have to purchase these either on Amazon or at Lowe's locally if they carry them.

These are beautiful and affordable! What a great upgrade from the old gas logs that don't heat. Hire a professional plumber to install.
