Just installed this on my 2018 ram 2500. Super easy to install and very sturdy. There is an 1/2” square spacer piece that says needed for “2011 Models and up”. I didn’t install it on my 2018 and fits perfect.

I know people will say that I just have to follow the directions and it will work fine. The female threads WILL STRIP if you over torque it. I made this mistake...BUT!...I fixed it which works way better anyway. I was able to cut away some metal accessing the ends of the bolts. I then put nylon lock nuts on the bolts. (It is impossible to fit a wrench or socket on the bolt but they are so close to the each other you can put a screwdriver in between to keep it stationary while you tighten the bolt head. Other than that....very awesome step..very durable. Oh...and the piece that you have to remove from the bumper (I had a 2500 RAM) didn't really seem to be needed anyway.

This makes it so much easier to step up into my truck box. It came with good instructions which made it easy to install. It seems sturdy, but only installed less than a week ago.

Great step! After contemplating spending the money for this, I did. Wow am I happy with it. Wish I would of bought it a long time ago! Very easy to install with basic hand tools. You have to remove one small, minor bumper bracket to make this fit, but other than that it bolts right on. Fits great,, very easy to flip down and back up. Thus step us right about the half way point between the tailgate and the ground. Makes getting into the truck bed alot easier, no more climbing or step stools now, lol. I have a 2014 Ram 3500 single wheel with the 6.7 Cummins.

This bed step is really solid and works like a charm. It looks a lot like the one MOPAR sells but is cheaper. I would recommend this to anyone. It is a must have option. It was really easy to install, I think it might have taken me 20 minutes total.

First the good... Installed on a 2108 Ram 2500 with Cummins diesel. Install was easy. 20 - 30 minutes. The step folds down easy and definitely makes getting in the bed of my truck much easier. It folds up nicely under the bumper when not being used. The folding brace itself seems sturdy enough. Now for the questionable... The step that attaches to the folding brace is plastic and the bolts to attach the step to the folding brace are pretty small. Not sure how long the plastic step will last before I have to drill my own holes and re-install with sturdier bolts. Time will tell. I gave it 5 stars at this point. If I have an issue with the plastic step not lasting, I'll update this review.

As they say, trucks are getting taller these days, and for some of us more vertically challenged individuals, that jump up to the bed is tricky. This was a good safe option for access to the bed.Arrived VERY fast, and install was easy. Took about 30 minutes on my back in a driveway. Hardware supplied is perfect and the install is about the easiest I have done. Hardest part is removing a small OEM bracket on the bumper to the body, and some sort of a flex drive or knuckle would make those 10 mm bolts easier to get out. Otherwise very simple. (There are multiple comments around reviews here and other places on the web about the removal of that braket. It is a very lightweight piece of metal, and really don't see how that can be any sort of problem when removed).The step is a poly/resin material of some sort and my only concern about the entire assembly. I would rather have seen a metal step of some sort. It may be a groundless worry since many other reviews on here are longer term and have not had any problems.Definitely a good, and easy upgrade!

I didn't realize how much I would come to appreciate this thing. I use it all the time to get in and out of the bed. There really isn't a way in and out when the tailgate is down. I have a 2018 RAM 2500 diesel. Fit perfectly.It was straightforward to install; however, you do have to have a torque wrench. My one complaint suggestion is that there are three small allen bolts that hold the step onto the rest of the hardware. Their torque setting is way below the torque range of the other bolts. So really can't use a single torque wrench. Also, couldn't use bicycle torque wrench which is all in metric. Anyway, I overtightened one of the bolts and stripped it. The company quickly sent me replacement. Would be much better if they could tighten into a more solid material so torque setting could be done with same torque wrench as the other bolts.

I installed this bumper step on our 2012 Ram 3500, with dual rear wheels, truck. Installation was very easy, as I had all the tools required; a torque wrench is required to ensure the four mounting bolts, and the three step bolts, are properly tightened, without being overly torqued. I took my time, double checking each step, and it took me an hour to install the step.All components seem to be made of high quality materials, are well made, and very well designed. All parts fit together perfectly. Once installed, the step is unobtrusive, yet easy to deploy and retract, with just a slight touch of one's foot. It feels solid and easily holds my weight. (I weigh just over two hundred pounds.) It doesn't shake or wobble, either stepping onto or off of it.As for its intended use, it makes getting into, and out of, the bed of our truck much, much easier, especially since it is a 3500 and the bumper, as well as the bed of the truck, are so high off the ground. I stand approximately 5' 10" tall and I either had to jump onto the tailgate or 'roll' onto it, when it was down, in order to get into the bed of the truck. Getting out of the truck required me to jump off the tailgate; eventually I was going to misjudge the landing and hurt myself. Now that the step is installed, I can easily, and safely, enter and exit the bed of the truck, as well maintain my dignity while doing so!If you are debating getting this, then you have already determined you need it, so stop stalling and get it; you won't be disappointed.
