The N-Fab black nerf steps are the perfect complement to my lifted Tacoma, adding both style and functionality to my truck. The black powder-coated finish not only matches the rugged aesthetic of my Tacoma but also provides durability and corrosion resistance against the elements. Installation was straightforward, thanks to the custom-fit design, but my only complaint is that it didn't include the mounting hardware. Nfab sent wrong bolts for my Tacoma. Need standard these are metric. Stripped every hole broke 2 bolts. Now spending hundreds to have fixed. Do not buy!

Completely happy with my N-Fab nerf bars! Sharp looking on my 2014 Toyota Tacoma and only took about an hour to install. Instructions (from their website) were easy to understand and simple to follow. You will need a torque wrench to properly install them. Note to Tacoma owners....you only install one bolt on the forward bracket and not two like the other brackets. Looks great on my truck and very sturdy.

Good quality steps for the price. Install took about 10 minutes per side including removal of the existing plastic caps that cover the bolt holes. Would be even easier with two people. The finish is less shiny than in the pictures and being somewhat textured matches the other black accents on the truck almost exactly. Steps are heavy duty (but yet not too heavy in weight - because I was able to easily install them along and I'm no gym rat), look good and work very well for folks who are somewhat vertically challenged. The bonus is it'll keep the occasional shopping cart in the parking lot from hitting you (it'll hit the step first) and same with some car door dings. Additionally, they may help with rock chips too, but then again who bought a TRD Taco worrying about that! Note that these are not full rock sliders, they do not bolt onto the frame, but rather to existing holes in the cab. The holes lined up exactly, and being oblong in the steps from Nfab allowed some movement during install. One bolt in the front, two in the middle and two in the rear. These are the "wheel to wheel" steps installed on my '17 Taco Double Cab TRD O/R with factory mud guards and they fit perfectly. The included hardware worked great, only tools needed were a 1/2" socket and about a half our of time. One of the better steps / bars out there in my opinion, and definitely much more user friendly as an actual step than the squished oval tubes (I have used those on other trucks of mine).

This part is for Wheel to Wheel (W2W) Tacoma Double Cab Short (5 foot) bed. My truck is a 2006. The shipment arrived earlier than the date promised, which is good if you happen to be home that day. Otherwise, track the shipment.While carton showed signs of rough handling by the shipper, the bars were not damaged in any way and all hardware was present.Installation was easy. The bars look great. The stock photos that Amazon uses all seem to be of the powder coat finish. This part is definitely not shiny, and is indeed "textured" My hope is that this coating will be less prone to corrosion.One concern is that while the ends of the bars face the frame, the bars' ends are open; there is no end cap. Overall, a great product. I love the 3 inch main tubes; they look much more sturdy than the part with the 2 inch main tube.

The item arrived late. The top of the box was open when I received it. When I pulled the rails out of the box and removed the bubble wrap I noticed that both rails had issues with the black paint. Their were at least 2 large spots where the paint had been rubbed off (possibly from the way they were packaged) and I noticed on the face of 1 of the rails a section that wasn't even coated with paint when it was manufactured. The mounting holes didn't line up exactly so it took 2 guys and a floor jack to manipulate them into place in order to get the last bolt in on each side. I just installed them last night so I can't speak about their durability yet, but so far, overall, it looks like they paint job is pretty poor and the product isn't protected sufficiently when packaged. Had to touch up the areas with missing paint with Rustoleum flat black (as I purchased the matt black finish), but it doesn't match and is noticeably different. I installed them on my 2017 Tacoma TRD Off Road, and steps really do hang down pretty low. If I keep these I'm definitely going to have to install a lift kit. The steps aren't level! They're tilted up in the air and slanted back toward the truck... Very dissapointed!

I own a 2014 Tacoma 4x4 TRD, dual cab with the short bed. I noticed the description listed 05-13 so I looked up the part number on the manufacturers web site and it was updated to state this part fit the 2014 also. Installation was literally bolt-on just as the description states. Since you are instructed to bolt in the two center bolts first you should have someone help you hold the bar up to make it easier and faster. Total install time is as fast as you can screw in 10 bolts and walk around the vehicle a couple of times. A very simple process.The look of the step up bars is nice and gives the truck a "tough" look while also providing an easy way for shorter people to get in to the truck. They appear to stick out enough from the body, enough to where a lower vehicle parked next to you opening their door the step will "catch" their door. Good for your truck, not good for their vehicle. I am very please with the build quality, look and ease of installation. I would highly recommend these bars to anyone.
