Rear differentials are a common problem with Cadillacs and it’s an expensive repair. Cadillac dealership quoted me over 6k to replace my rear differential. They listed the price for a new rear differential for my version 2015 Cadillac ATS luxury Coupe with a 3.6 l engine was 2400$. After market versions or used ran from 588$ - 1500$ on Amazon, eBay or a1premium.com. I choose this one.It had no reviews and made in China. I notice the weight difference in different Chinese manufacturers GM did not list that information on their site and I didn’t weight the original one I removed I believe this one is 67lbs I saw others that were 77lbs 10 lbs heavier but they could have been for a different model thinking back. The drain and fill plugs are different from the original but that’s the only difference. It fit perfectly. It doesn’t come with replacement nuts and bolts or instructions however while doing my research you must replace almost all of them it didn't call for the nuts on bolts that connect to the driveshaft to be replaced but all the other should be replaced.I filled it with the recommended fluid and will replace fluid as instructed after 3000km or 1865miles. I’d recommend this to anyone who wants to DIY and save money. I’ve never changed a rear differential now I can say I can. It took with zero experience about 3 hours total and I only spent about 800$ with help from my dad here and there. It’s so cheap that even if it fails 2-3 year or 60k miles I could easily replace it. Well she how durable it is I’m impressed.I order this at 12 am or a Saturday it was on my porch on Monday and installed by myself today. Took it for a test drive its drives new.
