If you need a spot in your case to mount another 2.5" or 3.5" drive, this is a great option. It's well built with nice stiff metal, accurately drilled holes, and a consistent even paint finish. I didn't run into any problems with sag while mounting a 3.5" HDD. I like it so much I ordered a second for a different case.

Pluses:1. Only product on market that uses rear panel for HDD2. Serves it purpose.Minuses:1. One screw not enough to hold assembly in place. It would be much better if it would use PCI-E slot for additional connection point.2. Takes lots of space. I had to use hammer (!!) to "adjust" it to fit my DELL desktop.3. Idea to make this item support both 2.5 and 3.5 didn't go well. I would prefer separate item to hold one (or two) 3.5.

I bought this due to my case not supporting HDs in the top rack while using a radiator for water cooling. The design of the bracket is a single sheet metal stamping. This means that the connection of the body to the mount portion acts as a hinge. This means that if it is used in a tower case, there is no support keeping it from sagging. It's even worse for me as I modified it to mount two 3.5 HDs as it was only designed to hold one. As you can see from my pic I put in a temporary support. Even with two 3.5" drives, it only sags about half an inch (25mm). If used with only one 3.5 is should sag a lot less. While I did use it beyond its design, it still does bend with just a single 3.5" drive in place, hence the 4 stars.I have a suggestion to fix this. Mount a simple support bracket from the middle 3.5" drive screw hole to the same mounting hole used for the main bracket (see pic)

For 4.99 this is hard to beat, great for putting two 2.5" drives in one spot. The included screws fit well and are a good plus

The idea and design of this product is really good and useful. I've got many 3.5" hdd's laying around and inherited a good machine that only had 4 drive bays. Using this product I was able to 'mount' a HDD in open slots on the system! Not sure how often this happens but the problem I see is that with only 1 screw hole being used, the weight of a 3.5" drive mounted to this makes it shaky at best, possibly dangers if it breaks loose. A small change to the design to add a 2nd screw hole (this fills 2 slots in your card bay) would add substantial strength to this product. Overall I'm okay with it in a non critical machine doing a non-critical role. Was able to 'add' another drive and I'm pleased with the solution.

I built a NAS using 'NAS4Free' software and 10 drives. I need to add another drive but the case has no more bays. This fixes that. It's a nice neat place to stick a few SSDs or a standard hard drive.
