This installed as expected, it is good quality and as described. I had to push up a little bit in order to get a few of the bolts in. Tight fit and better than stock. I later learned these are about half the price for the same product on a popular auction site that begins with an e... oh well.

My original model 3 skidplate got torn at some point and i wanted to replace it. The original is cloth and this replacement is a nice aluminum. I just rolled my car up on two ramp blocks, used a cheap socket set, and had everything replaced in under 30 minutes. The hardest part was just holding the plate up while fitting the initial screws in. Totally diy capable.

Tesla service states this is not correct for for 2021 model hand states it causes uncovered warranty rattling and voids suspension. I think I just got the angry Tesla repair person today but buy this with caution as it appears to not be correct fit for this car 2021 MYLR

Similar to the front piece, this one also delivered bent. This one was extra hard to install due to its many curves that need to be aligned properly. However, still a strong product that is a good replacement to the original plastic.

I was a little nervous getting under the car while installing this. I used safe jacks up to their highest setting, and lifted the rear of the model 3. Under the rear wheels I used plywood to crib them as extra safety measure. The rear unit does not come with any additional bolts or washers, so take your time, removing the original bolts and washers. I think it was a 10mm socket I used on them. (mind you I have an early 2018 Model 3).The metal is strong and the foam underneath should dampen the sounds nicely. It fit without issue. There are two difficult bolts that go into the wheel well area, take your time, and thread them by hand to being with. Actually, I put all bolts in by hand at first, then went back around and tightened them all up after every bolt had been started.

I installed it on a 2023.9 Model Y. It came warped and first time installing one corner weren’t lining up with the bolt holes so I had to take the skid out again. To fix it I took two pieces of 2x4 wood and sandwiched the skid between and wacked it with a hammer to flatten it out without directly hitting the metal. Did this to all areas of the metal skid on areas that were too arched. Installed it again and the bolt holes aligned which made installation easier. Areas that were arched too high I had to go to homedepot to buy longer bolts to make it fit.

I really like how this piece is a lot more solid and feels more sturdy, this is how it should have come from the factory. It is definitely aluminum. My original skid plate (which covers the motor in the back) was taken out by the great Northern California floods of 2023 lol.The inside foam or "gasket" between the metal and the other parts of the car. The only parts that are different are the two screw pieces in the middle, those should have had a longer screw from the factory because the original screws do not fit. For the price I would recommend this over TESBROS because I think they are the same. I have not tried TESBROS, so I could be wrong here, someone correct me if I am; but it comes with two screws on the TESBROS version (coincidence?).The glue between the soft gasket liner between metal and the car is just glue'd on with that spray glue, not really well fitted at that. Not awful, but not the best (check the photos uploaded). I would buy this again and definitely get it over stock. Looks like a piece for the Batmobile now.
