I removed the back glass to make it easier to do the fiddly part. I did not sand the connection point down. I added a little solder to the button and heated it with a soldering iron until it settled down the window. So far so good.

When your defroster tabs loose the glass connectionThis product gives you the tabs, buy the silver epoxyAnd follow the instructionsHeat cure the fixed tabsI was told I need a new rear window in my jeepIn 30 min my jeep was better than newThis is a great productLittle pricyBut that pesky electronic tab is fixed and back on the glass, like it was welded.I tried many YouTube fixesThis one works without a mess. Well worth the money for the tab and adhesive kit

Excellent Part - Just what I needed to fix broken rear defroster tab on 2016 Jeep Wrangler!!!Dealer wanted over $1000 to replace rear glass to fix broken tab - $20 later fixed - will see if holds, but after couple days, still in place and working.

If you have the ability, solder it on. Seems like the epoxy is hit or miss. Best to remove the glass and solder it inside for better adhesion. But it's possible to do it upside down.

The foot print of this "tab" is too small and builds up enough localized heat that it melts itself free from the surface. My fix was to hard solder this tab to a 1.5 in flat round of copper, which has 5 x as much surface area, and adhere that to the defrost area. This did the trick and has not failed yet.
