How to set an intercom system:

Step 1: Set the channel and code for each station : Long press channel key to set your channel. Short press channel key to call other intercom station. We suggest setting all the stations with the same code, then clicking other channels to communicate. You do not need to set a new code every time you call a different user.

Step 2: Distribute different stations for different users : After you set a different channel for each user, please mark the channel for each user you wish to call. Then, distribute to each user. (Note: please keep intercome at least 5 meters away to avoid interference while setting different stations).

Step 3: Use home intercom to communication with multi-functions : After every user has been assigned their intercom station, you can now make calls by simply clicking the channel of whom you wish to call. For each function, the monitor mode can help you look after children or elders anytime. This disconnects after 10 hours. Call mode can be used to talk to the same channel code intercom system. Group mode will talk with all intercoms simultaneously. VOX will automatically receive information (active for 24 hours).

Troubleshooting:

1. Channel key does not light----Check if the intercom have power; Check the intercom ON/OFF.

2. Cannot receive response----Please make sure the intercom set to designated channel? If not, be sure to release TALK when you are not speaking into the intercom. Also be sure you are not in MONITOR mode, MONITOR mode can not receive voice.

3. Cannot talk to another intercom----Are both intercoms set to the same channel and code? Please make sure they are properly set up and that you’ve waited until the other user has finished talking.

4. Strong, continuous "beep" sound----Move intercoms further apart to eliminate audio feedback. Or, change your intercom to another channel or code.

5. Unit doesn't work----Try the units in a different location. If the units work in a different location but not in your home, there may be a problem with your home concrete wall.

6. Static noise or cannot communicate----Confirm both units are set to the same channel and code when you want to communicate. Or, change locations by using Power Bank and moving to other locations for better reception and transmission. Or change the channel code.

Note:

1. Speaking and Hearing can not operate at the same time :The intercom system is a real-time communication system which has no memory or storage function. Because of this, you cannot receive any information while you are talking with others. Additionally, you cannot speak to another user if they are speaking at the same time.

2. Set same channel & code before talking :Please note that you will need to set the same channel and code if you want 2 intercom stations to receive communication. It also means any other intercoms can also communicate if they have same channel code. For example, your neighbors may be able to interfere with your intercom system. We suggest setting another channel or code to avoid interference.

3. A tip for setting your home intercom system : For example, let’s say you have a 4 station intercom system for your home for different rooms. You can set all 4 stations with the same code A (code A, B or C are choices), then you set different channels for all 4 stations. In this case, you can just click a channel number to call others without set code because your codes are all the same. If your system receives interference, you can change it to another code for all of your stations without changing every station's channel making this a very convenient option.

4.Keep the unit in the charge stand after each use :Every intercom is equipped with a adapter (DC 5V1A), a cable and a charge stand. Please connect every intercom station to your local AC power. We kindly suggest that you keep the intercom stay in the charge stand after each use, or the intercom will power off in 24 hours. Press&Hold the ON/OFF button to turn ON it after finished charge.

Being in a wheelchair, I needed a way to communicate with caregivers in case of a fall. I didn't want to go through the hassle installing ahardwired intercom. I began searching for a wireless unit and found CHTOOCY had everything i was looking for. In one box was 4 rechargeable units with a great distance, excellent reception and easy to read instructions. I'm very pleased with these devices! They’ve made it easy for my family to stay connected across different rooms in our home. While I haven't tested them over long distances, they work flawlessly from the basement to the second floor with no issues. The battery life is impressive, and the sound quality is clear. They operate like walkie-talkies, requiring you to push and hold a button to speak on the chosen channel. Switching channels is simple — just press and hold the number for the channel you want. The added call feature is a nice touch and very convenient. Overall, I'm happy with this purchase!

All units are working fine as intended. Range around a big house is just fine, (80 ft to far side through walls.) They even sent me a E-Mail making sure I got the units just fine.

These handheld intercoms have been a total life saver for us. My elderly and disabled mother lives with us and I was having to constantly check in on her to see if she needed anything. Now all she has to do is hit the call button and it will beep the other handhelds throughout the house. Therefore, I can go about my day doing what I need to and don't have to check on her constantly. She let's me know when she needs me. I can even go out into our yard and carry a handheld with me and it will beep even out in our large yard. Also, and this is the biggie, my sister lives across the street from me (we live in an older neighborhood with large yards and large wide streets) and I can go over to her house with a handheld and it will still beep me if my mom needs anything. That's right - it will reach that far!! When I need to run errands, I leave a handheld with my sister and she can go over to my house when Mom needs something. But be forewarned, just as you sit down in your recliner and lean back and get comfortable, that dang beeper will start beeping at you! LOL!I read some reviews stating that some or all handhelds didn't work when people received them. Fortunately for us, all four worked when I received them. However, after a month or so of use, one handheld quit working and would not take a charge. We removed the battery (completely unhooked it from the handheld) and left it out for about five minutes and then put it back in and Voila!! It started working again! Later, another handheld quit working, however, it was still charging so I knew it wasn't the battery. I looked on the side of the handheld at the ABC modes and sure enough the switch had been slightly moved off of the letter B (we keep ours on B but you can use any letter as long as all handhelds are on the same one). Once I moved it back to B, then it started working again. I can't say the two issues I had are the same as other people, but I would like to recommend you try these steps before sending them back or tossing them.I highly recommend these because for us, they work very well.

I do NOT recommend this intercom system. The way it is designed makes no sense. Learning how to use them is almost impossible. The user manual that comes with it is a horrible translation from Chinese to English. I do not know why they don't send their best translation to an American technical writer and have them re-write it to make sense to an American where the product is being sold. Features like Monitor make no sense - you set one to Monitor and the rest that are set to the same channel are supposed to hear whatever that unit picks up - but the sound coming to the other units is so low it's worthless. There's 2 buttons with speaker icons on them, with NO indication which one increases or decreases the volume and so experimenting with it is your only choice. With the ones we got, neither button increased or decreased the volume - totally USELESS. The monitor function only lasts for 10 hours and automatically shuts off -- WHY??? If I want to use one as a monitor - then I want it to stay monitoring until I discontinue the function. The VOX feature didn't work at all - on any of them. - Trying to use them as walkie-talkies was also useless as no matter how we tried to use them - they always acted like they were voice-activated - cutting off the first few words anyone says into them - even though we used the press-to-talk button each and every time - and then too - the volume was absolutely lousy! And one of the charging bases was defective - no matter how you set any of the units in it - it would not make connection with the unit without having to fiddle with it - and then after getting the charging light to come on - meaning it had a connection - it would disconnect a few seconds later. I could go on and on about the extremely poor performance of the other features - but it would just be more of the same. This intercom system is pure trash and should be completely avoided. Do NOT waste your money and time with this garbage -- and that's all you need to know about it.

My staff is thrilled as to the ease of use and how stylish they are in the office. We were shocked as to how well it works within an office building with concrete walls and how clear they sound. Definitely worth it!!!
