Shocking. Not the bad kind of shock. Out of the box it worked great. Solid built and bright. Darn near blinded me. I couldn’t wait to put it in the pool so I put it in my hot tub. Now I need a few more for the pool. The remote is great also.

This is the perfect underwater light for occasional use, i.e., parties, cookouts, etc. Being able to control it remotely and easily remove for charging is perfect for our needs. The colors really do stand out in our pond.Would I recommend this item to others? YesWould I buy it as a gift for someone else? YesHad I purchased this outright, would I have returned it? My pool lights are down for now so when I saw these, I figured I will give them a try. The work fine as lights and the remote functions well. As for long term use, there can be some issues, one is that one would need to empty a little bit of the pool water to use the glue that sticks the magnet base to the side of the wall. Another concern in my case was that my side-wall vacuum cleaner at times knocks the light off the magnet. For the price and the entertainment, it provides it could be fun to have but not a permanent replacement for built-in pool lights.
