Your cart is empty.Recoil’s smart battery isolators are microprocessor controlled high current relays used in dual battery systems. They are designed to be used as a solenoid priority system to protect the main battery from excessive discharge while allowing the auxiliary battery to supply non-essential loads. The dual sensing smart isolators have the added feature of allowing charge both ways where the auxiliary battery may also be charged by an external source, such as solar panels or an external AC battery charger. They will also allow the main battery to be charged by the external source once the auxiliary battery reaches 13.2 volts to help top up the main battery.

Over time the cheap plastic on the microprocessor will break/melt. Mine caught fire due to the top case of the microprocessor somehow shorted with the (500a) battery lug right over it. Thank God I was just pulling into my driveway and could cut the cable before my I lost my truck! Poor unsafe Chinese design. Buy without the controller and wire it to a switch or an acc wire!

Honestly this has been the best device utilized to isolate both my batteries at the same time if the front battery dies I love the feature that you can just press a button and send power from the rear battery to the front essentially creating an internal jumper at all times. This is an excellent isolator and I hope they continue to to keep producing them.I highly recommend this isolator for the easy use and installation, plus you know when it turns on here the click and you got a nice LED light indication. You literally know that the isolated is truly working on like older isolators that don't have any kind of indication if they're properly working or have failed.Get yours while you can, it's a must in saving your alternator and properly running your sound system.

I'm sure I'll come up with a more permanent home for this thing, but for now it's had some bench testing done and it works just fine between some solar panels and a couple banks of batteries. I've run a dual battery setup in our suv before and this is definitely a simpler and better looking route, for sure.

After realizing the my RV "house" batteries were not charging properly, I realized that I needed a new Battery Isolator. This came quickly and I was able to install it and it is working great!

Great Isolator for the money. The cable terminals it came with weren't the best but I didn't buy this item for those.
