Red Devil 4050 Scrape & Pry BarNot for the 4050CL (Classic) which is heavier and not the classic old version.The whole point of this pry bar is that it is thin. It can get under trim boards to loosen them. The chisel ends are also good scrapers. I have sharpened my old one on a belt sander or file for so long that the angled end is less than half the length of the new one. I ordered a new one because I'd be lost without it. It is so useful. If you need a heavier pry bar, get one like a "Wonder Bar", flat pry bar or flat wrecking bar. But this one is so useful for more delicate work. When something like the claw on a hammer is too much, this is the tool to use.

Sturdy and well made. Easy to remove or adjust trim. This design has been around decades.

I’ve used this product for about 5 years and never has it broken or bent, ( I do commercial construction ) and in my field we torture every tool, the only reason I’ve had to replace it is to the fact that it was either stolen or lost, definitely will keep buying

I work as a glazier by day and all the old timers have Red Devil pry bars. I wanted one and I couldn't find them in any brick and mortar, anywhere. I ordered this bar and while its not the same shape, type of steel, thickness, or angle of the bend as the old timers' (they say its due to theirs being made in 'merica, mine in China), its a great pry bar. I've used this thing to lift a few hundred pounds a half dozen times and it hold its shape very well. I've also pounded on it with a steel hammer to chip mortar or 50 year old caulk off of stone and it handles that very well too. While its not exactly what the picture shows, or what they used to be like, the RedDevil 4050 is well worth the ten bucks. SIDE NOTE. I do recommend getting the Titan stainless steel bar as a complimentary tool. It's much thinner and gets into spots the RedDevil can't.

I was first introduced to this tool 20 years ago by my girlfriend. She had one in her toolbox and told me how great they were. I had never seen one before but soon found it was absolutely the best thing for jobs such as removing wood molding without marring or breaking it and for prying all kinds of things loose. It even works well for prying large boards loose...great for getting them started until there is enough space to get a wrecking bar slid in. It's just wonderful for prying without damaging wood because of its wide width and thinness. Don't let its thin dimension fool you though, it's indestructible. You'd be amazed at how hard I've hammered on this tool for years with no damage to it at all. The steel and tempering is excellent. Oddly these are hard to find in stores. I looked and looked for them for years but fortunately finally found them on Amazon so now I have my own and don't have to borrow my girlfriend's all the time.
