I wanted a very dark brown for a needlepoint project, in which I had to use brown, and a darker brown. As you can see from the photo, it’s much darker than the brown I had. The color is called Coffee; I would describe it as dark coffee.The yarn quality is okay, similar to what I buy at Michael’s or Joannes. I did find two places where the yarn was pieces together (broken and then knotted), in the first skein that I balled up, but I find that frequently in all the brands I buy. I don’t know why that happens; I cut it out.That said, it’s just fine, worsted weight, which is what I need. Priced very reasonably, for three large skeins.

My biggest complaint is that the yarn is much brighter in colour than the product picture. It looks muted and more brown in the image, but the actual yarn is much more orange-orange.The texture is rough and I had many tangling issues half way through the bunch. It didn't split as much as some other yarns I have tried, which was good.For the price I paid, it is a good value. You get a lot of it and as a beginner at crochet, I found it easy to work with. I used a 5.75 mm hook with this yarn to make a scarf.I also got the Cherry Red and it was really lovely. Much softer than the carrot colour.
